Here's another suggestion, if we are paying at guy $5M and want production from him, how about we actually put him on the power play. Everyone wants more production from him but its very hard for any dman to get points if you aren't consistently on the power play.

Here is another tidbit,the sabres tried harddddddddd to get scuderi to come here,even offering substantially more then Pittsburgh,he obviously turned it down

I'm shocked that this move didn't happen 1-2 seasons ago when Buffalo was looking for a spark & Tallinder had more in the tank...

Sorry, but this move doesn't do much for me. It's too late. The ship had already sailed, it's time to develop youth & take the growing pains (if that is indeed the "plan").


So then Tallinder is going to hold Mcnabb down another year? ... Hecht revisited?


Seems like we're still spinning our wheels. In a year, Tallinder will retire and Mcnabb will have missed out on NHL playing time...

If the playoffs are out of the question anyway, it's better invest this time on developing the future.

Has McNabb actually shown anyone a reason as to why he should be in the NHL next year? From reports he wasn't very good in the A last year.

Couldn't agree more...tallinder will take either psyk,mcnabb or risto spot,dumb.. Darcy and lindy were in charge for 40% of the sbres existence,it is a joke. Ruff wanted Hecht to be his captain,Hecht in the last 6 years averaged the same amount of ice time as vanek...the list goes on and on

He was at the Kenny Chesney concert a couple weeks ago in Pittsburgh.

Risto "could" push for a spot. Isn't a proven commodity yet. Ruhwedel has played what? 6 or 8 games? Send him to Rochester. McNabb was underwhelming for stretches of last year. McBain was a throw in to get the 2nd rounder. Tallinder played in 2 out of every 5 games over the past 2 seasons.

I don't think we're overflowing with quality NHL defensemen that GMs will covet.

I think McNabb makes the Sabres roster this year and there has been comments by Darcy that he thinks Risto may be able to make the team this year. We'll see.
