Terry Pegula liked the play of Ville Leino and Christian Ehrhoff and lo and behold Darcy went and signed them both to ridiculous contracts. Pegula railed against the departures of Lydman and Tallinder before he took over and Darcy goes and gets an over the hill Tallinder back. You have to wonder how much influence Pegula has over personnel moves.

If anybody wonders how Darcy "the cockroach" Regier can survive through 16 yrs and counting of 3 different owners and a sub-par record then look no further than he being a total yes man with no backbone of his own.

erhoff's cap hit is great for who he is/what he brings, length and signing bonus was crazy though but thats how things are and were so

YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP

It's kind of scary how pegula mentions a few things here and there and then they happen. he mentions then as "that would be nice" and they happen. i think eventually pegula will figure out that he needs to stop butting in, but it is his team and maybe we'll have to wait until mrs pegula or the daughters are in charge to get a championship here...who knows...

that being said, we're stuck with darcy for now, so hopefully he catches lightning in a bottle and we can all sleep better.

Sign Jagr for 6 million one season and give him the key to the city like those idiot Bills did with that washed up big mouth wide receiver.

Dude I hate to break it to you about this Jagr stuff but, you are late to the party from last night. There is a reason everyone keeps mentioning Jagr

Girgensons reminds me of a young Jagr. Young Jagr reminds me of a young Chris Drury. Young Chris Drury reminds me of Jesus

one question, how the hell are you a preds fan?
- Jurco_28

Lifelong Pens fan. Liked the Preds a bit when they started due to the underdog aspect. Spent time in Nashville interning with the team so then they became my 2nd favorite team.

I'm interested to see what kind of hell we can give a team when larsson, girgs, kaleta and ott all play on the same team, assuming that happens...

I have no idea if the rumor is true but why is it so outrageous that he would come here? He went to Dallas only last year and surely they weren't a cup contender. The guys has money problems. You and I would take a million less to go play somewhere where I might win but we've never laced them up (and lost big at the casinos). It is completely plausible that he'd go to the highest bidder. In a sense I give TPeg a little credit if it was true. After all, if the other trades happen we're going to be close to the cap floor. Having this guy around for a few months could give the fans something to watch. It isn't like we're overcome with prospects on the wing.

"Need" is a strong word - I see it as an odd fit for both parties. I am fine sucking this year. He wants money and we want a warm body that will draw some interest while (hopefully) the kids get a year closer to taking a deserved spot on the first line.

I see what you did there. But remember when Jagr signed in Philly? Pegula pushed hard for him then. Maybe he just can't let the fan in him go away
