I don't mind picking up veterans on 1 year deals when we have the cap room. It's what Dallas did last year and they sucked. If Tallinder stays healthy or god forbid we sign Kaberle and he stays healthy and they have good seasons we can flip'em at the deadline.

Hmm.. can't think of anything, really. Being the first building block towards our rebuild which is about done isn't anything, either.

Or like, being the best player on the team last season by a friggin' country mile alongside PAP. Hmm.

Trust me, it would gut the fan base. He is like the 2nd coming of Sakic.. or was supposed to be. So far nobody is disappointed.

They finished tied for 27th in NHL scoring and did so on a terrible team with a terrible coach, no defense to speak of, and core guys missing half the season.

You should probably watch more Avalanche games this year being you guys are gonna be so bad. We'll be fun to watch, I promise you that.

As for trading with you guys.. Statsny, Barrie and Varly for Miller.

You get pieces we can part with, and we get a goalie upgrade.

As for the money, you take on just a bit. Worth it from my pov in your spot to acquire pieces right now.
