I didn't know that. Seguin for those two would be a steal, even back then.

I like Eberle more than Seguin.

Kane is on the market. Heard it a bunch of places. I would offer sheet Stewart. That way we're not playing for draft picks yet again this season. He would cost us a 1st and 3rd.
- Ihatebrianburke

I agree. Stewart on a 3 year deal at 13.5 mil would be cool.

I don't know. Stewart's history with the blues has been a lot like Gagner's with the Oil. He was in the dog house for about 3 years about 2 years ago. They had him on the fourth line and giving him no minutes. There was something going on but I don't know what. All I know is that I had him in my hockey pool and he was playing no minutes on a terrible line. I just knew it was something with management. He was upset and a rift formed between the two groups.

Apparently over the last two years he has turned that around and everything is good. This might be like Marleau where this is actually true however I don't think it is. I think stewart is going to make the blues pay for his service and I am sure they have a price point they are not willing to go over on him. I also think Stewart would benefit from a change of scenery. However that is what I got from a few TSN articles over the years (I have him in a long term fantasy pool).

I think if the blues were to part with any forward that lowers their cap hit, Stewart would be the number one guy. I think they are going to have troubles signing him. I think he is in play and I would offer sheet him.

Stewart has been with St. Louis for less than a season and a half. He got traded from Colorado. He was on a poop list in Colorado a few years back because he was deemed lazy and out of shape. Then the following season he came into camp in great shape and has played well since.

It's a risky game though.... but they would most likely match it

This but he might be our only option to fill a top 6 role, which I hope we are trying to do.

nope, not kidding. based on the numerous posts of stewart or morrow, boyes is not even close to a physical player vs those two.

Thats what I am thinking. I forgot he switched teams. However I do know he WAS moved from the top 2 lines to the 4th line by St. Louis for a few months. It just seemed like a long time ago. However I do remember ranting about St.Louis having no one else to replace him and that it was a garbage decision.

brad boyes put up more points then David Clarkson. They have basically matching stats. If anything Brad Boyes had done more in his career than Clarkson and would come at a cheaper cap hit. They play same style of game.

are you talking about who is more physical or who puts up more points... i haven't seen him play a whole for the islanders, but i doubt he is more physical than clarkson. boyes avoids the dirty areas and tends to stay away from physical play. he wants to be a sniper. that's fine. edm doesn't need another right winger to snipe goals when there is yakupov.

same game...? oh my. sniper vs agitating forward.

Numerous Post......So you really have no clue, you just read that on a forum. Boyes got paid $1 million for more points than the $5.25 million dollar man. But your right he probably thurough one less body check so he really isn't physical

i am talking about the forum we are posting on right now... read back.... look at the suggestions of morrow and stewart offer sheet talk. my goodness....

otherwise clarkson is not worth that contract and already claimed to be one of the players not to live up to his contract.

Oh anything is possible- rookie year, cup winner- in 3 years making nearly 4 mill, then resign for 6 mill nearly... women all over the place- who wouldn't but still for all the leaders in the Boston dressing room- someone should have provided some guidance IMO... further he should know that hockey is not that easy... I mean cups don't grow on trees...

Just make the trade rather than offer sheet. I think St Louis has made it clear they are not going to fit both Stewart and Piet. Even of they do they would need to trade Oshie or Perron for picks. There are not that many teams left that can handle taking on salary without giving some back.

Trade them Marancin and 2014 1st for Stewart. Sign him 4.5 - 5 per.

Sign Hainsey. Ship Hemsky out asap before teams fill their rosters.
