Can I just ask why dubnyks job was ever in question? Especially with regards to luongo and miller? He faced more shot per game than most goalies last season. Last season he had a better save percentage than fleury, Lehtonen, miller, hiller, rinne, Nabokov, smith, backstrom, luongo, price, varlamov, quick, brodeur, bryzgalov, halak, kiprusoff just to name a few. His GAA sucks, but when your defense is full of holes, you are going to let in 3 goals on 40 shots. He has improved every year, why is this even up for debate, especially when the replacements have been luongo and miller, two older players with worse numbers.

Clouts stirs the pot a lot from his "sorces".

lol he faced the second most SA/G...to Miller. But Dubey gets no credit.

I think Dubey's a solid starter. He had a .921 in front of a sh*t D core. Give him a top pairing n see what he can do

I've never seen that, that's funny if you ask me.

they think
Eberle+7th+Dubey=Miller
Schultz+Klefbom=Vanek+Leino too.

some fans are so delusional here. Some TO fans suggested Gagner+7th overall for Phaneuf n some said too little.

amazing what overloving your team can do to your perception of player value

Our GM overvalues all his players that's why we are in the position we are in, I personally don't want to trade Vanek I think we should keep him and add players for him.

GAA and wins are useless stats when measuring goalies. Obviously if your STL last year and facing 17 shots a game you're going to allow fewer goals than 33 shots a game EDM. Doesn't mean one goalie's better than another. Team based stats

You and I don't agree with this. He's gone after next season if the Sabres don't trade him. He's not going to wait around for a rebuild but we will agree to disagree. What will the Sabres get for him? A 1st and some teams top 10 prospect, maybe a 4 or 5. Not much more, but I hope I'm wrong and darcy surprises me.

We have enough picks we need a player(s) in return, I want to keep him however I know it won't happen.

I was joking there. But he is honestly a great player. He led rookies in the OHL. He's 15 and he was one of the top point getters. He may not be Gretky. But he's gonna be a hell of a player.

I hope they get a 1st and a young player, someone who is or has a great chance to be a top 6 forward.

I might be one of the few oiler fans who wuld be happy to see hemsky back next year.Yes he turns invisible for streches but he's still averaged a decent number of points for the number of games he plays. If putting him on a line with jagr gets him going then it works good for the oilers. If hemsky has say 45 to 50 points before the trade deadline playing along side jagr his value goes way up and the oilers can trade him if they aren't in the picture. If not well his contract is up anyway and sometimes you just have to let guys walk. At this point the oilers don't have any really good options to fill a third line grinding role, so they might as well try three scoring lines. At worst hemsky sucks again like the team and leaves at best he gets it going, the oilers make the playoffs and he has value after the year is done.

By the way richard, his name is richard also. He might even push for the back up role though doutful he gets it.

Sense we've got the vanek trade proposals going i thought i'd add in my two bits. Vanek is a guy i like a lot. Miller i do NOT want. So here what i propose and i admit i'm pretty bad at valueing players. Lets try and be reasonable here.

To Buf- pajaarvi, merencen, first round pick in 2014 and a second round pick in 2015 that becomes a first if the oilers make it to the conference semi-finals
to EDM- vanek and stafford

Over payment? Underpayment? Need different players? Maybe different stipulations for the second first round pick?

It is interesting, Hockeydb is claiming one extra shot against on the season causing the discrepancy. One ends up rounding up and other rounding down. 0.9204946996466431 is his average from Nhl.com

Just play with Hemsky for the season and we promise to trade him to a contender at the trade deadline. Playing with Jagr would help Hemsky's game and inflate his trade value. Can trade them both at the deadline and give them their chance for Stanley Cup run and we get prospects and picks in return. Could be a plan
