my standards are set so low for TO and BUF fans, I can hardly notice some trolls - TheNugeIsHuge
Understandable. Some people just want attention really, really badly. I admit it is why I troll clout's 14% of the time. |

Not sure if she knew who he really was, or even cared, but a hush went over the crowd. I had to have what she said translated cause I couldn't understand a word she was saying with that thick accent. |

Okay bottom line guys we already have a million other threads kicking around for discussing the Kessel trade.
Let's get down to brass tacks: Why isn't Jonathan Cheechoo a 50 goal scorer for us? |

Experience is experience. He has an objective view of what it is like, where as players who have never been in the playoffs, are completely subjective in their views and experience. How did he not get dirty? Because he didn't play dirty? It takes a team to win a cup, not individuals. Him being a part of that team that won, as well as the one that just lost in game 6, along with being with those guys and learning from veterans, makes his experience invaluable. It's not like he was a healthy scratch and didn't dress, but was simply on the roster. - ruttager17
the guy had a free ride in his rookie year...other than one game was invisible and only played is 1/2 the games. So that year, yeah, healthy scratch, just on the roster for most of that playoff run.
This year, invisible again. He ain't a rookie now, and this is when he should have been showing his pedigree.
Some people rise to the occasion, experience or not. Seguin is not proving to be one of them and being so far down the line i wonder how much he actually has gotten out of those two long runs in the playoffs. |

Sooooo is your hate for Seguin because people still try to say he is better than hall, and was the clear winner of the Hall vs. Seguin debate of 2010? Cause obviously hall is better. |

seguin had 70 shots and 1 goal. He had bad puck luck. Scoring chances were all there. If he were shooting at Bickell's SH%, he'd have had 13G and 20P and outscored the conn smythe winner |

The Gordon signing looks awfully similar to the Belanger signing. Too much money for a faceoff specialist. But Ference for that contract is fair. Nice signing! I think Paajarvi could score 30 goals in the future. He is not in his prime. He has the talent I think. |

Theres no debate. Hall is better than Seguin. And Kessel is better then both of them. |

Gordon's quite the bottom 6 player and apparently will do anything to win. I don't think Belanger gave a sh*t most nights.
30G for MPS? Maybe on the right team/with the right line. I say he tops out at around 20G 45P, nothin wrong with that |

better offensively right now. I'd still take Seguin or Hall over him. Aiding that is Kessel's a year off from UFA n Hall n Seguin have good contracts |

I would assume that we're going to see a line with MPS / Gordon / Jones |

Well Hall can skate twice as well as we really NEED him to, so it balances out. |

Seguin has a good contract? He makes more than Kessel and produces much less. |

not many 3rd liner wingers with 32P this year. He had 67P last year, it takes a special 19/20YO to do that. He's a natural centre, victim to there being 127 Cs in BOS. Wait til he's older than 21 to peg this as a win for TO
Kessel's a great player, one of the best in the league and I agree that Bozak drags him down but if presented with the choice of Seguin+Hamilton or Kessel, I'll take seguin+hamilton 9 times out of 10.
It's not a terrible trade as lots peg it to be, but BOS won it. Seguin's under appreciated because he barely scored in the playoffs (1 goal off 70 shots), so people ragged on him for being put in a role position - TheNugeIsHuge
Oh but it was ok to call him a franchise player before he played a game? |
