Mike Augello: Leafs Better Up Front, But Defense Concerns Remain - mikeinbuffalo
Sorry, can you explain to me how the Leafs got better up front by overpaying a guy who's never scored more than 46 points in season for the next 7 years, and re-committing to the delusion that Tyler Bozak is a top 6 forward?
Yeah yeah, I know - you took Boston to OT in game 7. So did Montreal in 2011. Ask them how well the next season panned out for them. |

Play liles on the bottom pairing with Fraser or a young guy and give him PP minutes to start the season....
Then trade him and get a solid Defensive defenseman at the trade deadline... |

Gotta be a Vancouver fan who's to ball less to post his team. |

I'd trade Gardiner if it got us a top 2 shutdown guy, yes. How you insinuate that Gardiner's not a quality NHL defenceman was the entertaining part. |

Nope. Habs fan. But I admire the intellect of a man who deflects from the question, rather than, you know, actually answering it.
The best part is, it's a legit question based on the blog, and all you lizard brain an process it as is an attack. |

He is? He was a late season injury replacement that was sitting in the pressbox as healthy scratch before another playoff injury. Six games is not a career.

How would a habs fan even begin to understand how it makes the Leafs better?

Clarkson is easily similar to MacArthur but scores more goals and brings more qualities than mac will ever have brought us. Clarkson brings the grit.. macarthur was meh...grabos offense will be missed though and depth |

Right. So more deflections and rhetoric? Atta boy.
I'm a hockey fan, whose favourite team are the Habs. I'm honest enough to acknowledge that the Briere signing is terrible without getting my panties all bunched up about it. Why don't you hike up your skirt and join me? |

6 games is not a career, and neither is the chunk of a season that you're playing post concussion. He exceeded expectations his first year with us, dominated at the AHL level before getting hurt during the lock-out, and returned to form during the play-offs. You have to be willing to give credit where it's due if you continually insist on pointing how the flaws. |

9 goals and 8 assists in 22 games before the concussion on a defensive oriented team is pretty dominant.... |
