i just giving an example that a guy who plays on the second line can still be an all star - Dozzer
Agreed. I'm liking the forward lineup no matter how it shakes out line wise.

A better question is whether TJ Brennan is going to cut it or does Rielley draw in? |

I'd take either one a 1 or 2 year deal. But you'd have to jettison Liles if you do. - BetterCallSaul
I don't see why people hate him so much. I think he's a great hockey player. Yes, his contract is poo, but aside from that, he's fine. Is he soft? Well yeah, he's 5'10..what do you expect him to do? He's still a good PMD imo and can still contribute. Just because he might have "struggled" a few games last season doesn't mean you scratch the guy. If that's the case, Kessel should have been scratched early on too since he "struggled" a bit. |

I can't stand that stat. - weirdoh
yeah, its not a good stat to gauge a players value at all |

Tuckers career in toronto was a total of -1... if you honestly think all his intangibles (that you somehow just disregard due to +/-) arent worth that 1 extra goal the opposition scored then wow
ps most of his time in toronto was not next to sundin... - DarcyTucker16
Like I said I have a signed jersey.. but through all his effort will always be considered a minus in my eyes...

Blow you bring up a good point... about Wendel.. but I think it is apples to oranges in comparison... Wendel was pretty solid during his good years.. and the endthe toll paid on him.
But he also didn't get the pleasure of playing with a career plus player and still be a minus.. Clark played on some bad Leaf teams.. and was for the most part a pleasure to watch.
Tucker played with Career plus players and was a minus.. there is a difference in my opinion.. to balance this statement I do have a Tucker signed shirt. - DoctorNHL
please tell me all the career plus players tucker was with.. he was with sundin for like 5 years of his entire career... and lots of that was just on the PP in which you dont get a +... the rest he was pestering the oppositions best players... and again like i said... in his time in toronto he was a total of -1... your argument is completely invalid even ignoring the fact its based on a bogus stat in the fisrt place |

Don't know, I'm not in the office. This is just speculation on my part. I doubt it would be for a star Dman, just someone who can help ease Dion's minutes. |

As long as I can keep seeing the videos of his psychotic look I don't care. Hilarious.

Liles is another minus that makes bad decisions.. has nothing to do with size.. MacA was another softie hole in the line-up.. loved when the Sens signed him...

rielly is two years away at least
he will be back in junior next season
you can prolly bank on that.. he got a small taste of pro last season and was almost invisible

Give Franson 3.25 for 3 years.
Give Gunnarsson 2 for 3 years.
Kadri gets 3.5 for 3 years
That leaves us with about 2m in space which we can tuck away for a rainy day. That 2m will probably be eaten up by Kessel's new deal(7.5per) and whatever raise in the cap will have to cover everyone else.
Let someone from the marlies come up and try to earn a spot. We've had a few cooking in the minors for the last few years, may as well give them a shot. - AngryWhiteMale
Franson likely wants more than that

Not so much anymore with that line 3. Carlyle can juggle amazingly.

thats not the point at all
the point is the difference between line one and line 2 should be minimal on a good team |

Put on a shirt.. said Clark was great.. maybe you missed that... no comparison between the two imo.

Yeah but NOBODY is perfect though. Everyone makes mistakes. Take away the mistakes, he can still contribute and is a very underrated dman.. |

All 3 will be asking more than that. And you still would need to sign another 3 players for a full roster.... |
