Vinny has the body of a greek god... - Flyfreaky
the term worries me, and he's already calling what line & position he plays, he was brought in to be a center, not ride "G's" right side |

meh, he's fine...He has some good leadership skills those young guys can learn from...Now we need to move Coots or B.Schenn for a young stud dman... |

I thought it would be Couts, but I think we need a natural left wing instead to go in our top 4
with a D man, actually, Streight Timmonen Coburn Schenn top 4, Gustafsson & any one of Lauridson or Grossman if he's healthy, we may be set |

Not good...The only way I'd move Coots or B.Schenn is to get equal value upside young stud dman... |

I agree, actually I'm keeping Coburn, he & Schenn will work well with the 2 grandpa's (Streit & Kimmo)
I said a natural LW in our top 4 earlier, I meant top 6 up front |

If we move Coots/Schenn and score a young dman, I'd love to see Coburn/Mesz gone for mid grade winger... |

Honestly... you guys did great in landing him. I will not bash Philly or Vinny just because I'm jealous we didn't get him. I would have licked his left testicle to get him.
To all delusional Leafers out there I'll put this into perspective...
What would you rather have centering your 1st line?
@4.5 million, A Vet in his early 30's who is a former 1st overall pick who can provide leadership who scored 50+ goals, 100+ points, and has a Stanley Cup ring.
Orrrrr....
For just 300 grand less... Tyler (frank)ing Ballsack?

True that...Just hoping Homer doesn't screw this up...He can't settle for anything less than a comparable young dman coming back if he decides to trade Coots or BSchenn... |

he would have to make one more move for when Kimmo reitres, not waiting until the summer beforehand
that's losing a lot of minutes, important minutes at that when he goes |

interesting perspective, would you have signed him for 5 years and a no movement clause? I do hear what he brings to the table, but, he has 14 years on his body and he's been injured each of the last 3 seasons - puckhead17
I remember Jagr went through that stage as well and that mother (frank)er's keeps on ticking... |

If we get a Yandle or Edler it won't matter about Kimmo...We'll be set for the next 10 years... |

Come on, Coots or B.Schenn, Coburn and a high pick should get that done right away... |

No, he demands ice time which will take away from someone already here, & I'm sure he'll want 2 years not 1 |

I've come to thinking... I realized who the biggest douches are out there.
Not Leaf fans.
Not Flyer fans.
But...
Bruin fans.
Why you ask? Personally I think we won the JVR/Schenn trade yet there is no ill will spoken of it at all from either side. Classy.
Could you picture Boston making the same trade?
For what seemed like eons until Boston yet again gave up on another top-5 pick in less than a decade (3rd time now), the Seguin/Kessel dead horse has been beaten into Spam. |
