Even if they had moed JVR to 1C last year, I would bet my own money Carlyle would have moved Grabo to wing and kept Bozak as the 2C to start the season

Grabo should have tried wing on line two before getting shipped out. Would have been fine in an offensive role.
But we needed a 3C and I guess he was it. Oh well.

Everybody can make a highlight reel worth of goals. Consistently, on the stat sheet, he does not bury his chances; Kessel's an underrated playmaker who's getting better each year while Bozak is not.

most of his chances come from Kessel though, and I fully admit he flubs a lot of them.

just saying that when Kessel's not there he seems to cash more often on chances than he does when he is on the ice...

Like don't get me wrong, i like bozak on the team. He is a unique player, but his point production does not equal 4.2M, he is not a #1 center, i would of loved him on the 3rd line getting paid 3.5M:

How do you hate someone, if he was never played by wilson... great logic. He was really good in nashville and i already knew well before he came here he was a decent addition. There was a reason why burke had him as the key piece in return for taking on lombardis contract.

Why didn't Burke (being the boss) tell Wilson to play this guy he just spent about 100million on???? Instead the contract Burke brought in to eat ( to get Franson ) ended up playing and Franson was up in the presser???

but if they had kept Grabo and let Bozak walk, still signs Clarkson, they'd be in worse cap shape than now (although, likely buyout Liles instead then)

Love our first line. Love Kadri. Love the off season moves. Huge Kulemin fan. Same with McClemment. Love our two tough guys. Have no problem with Phaneuf. Hated Franson until he had this great year and IMO bc of Fraser's help. Never found goaltending to be a problem.

I don't mind JVR. Just don't think he's amazing.

Bottom line we got both Clarkson and Bozak for less than MARKET value.... meaning they could have gotten more elsewhere..... not to mention it won't hurt having Bozak when it comes time to extend kessel

Yup. Someone posted that Kadri could be playing Kessel and JVR by Christmas if he keeps improving, hope so. Give him a bridge deal and pay him what he's worth in 2 years.
