Line 1 gets 15
Lines 2 and 3 get 13

as much as this line has scored, its way to soft and they get beat up a tonne, otherwise we would have made the playoffs one of the last two yrs, cuz they r that good.

hall gags and yaks is not big but feisty and can handle it better

C/RW and this guy will play like hemsky always be sulking, about this or that..... the more I think, the more I realize... a big lw is a must... which is why we went hard on Clarkson, why we want lucic, why we wanted bickell, and why we jus may end up with penner, or a vanek trade.

Dittrick got fired yesterday for accidentally leaking that Curtis Hamilton was going to Dallas in the Horcoff trade, and then removed it because it wasn't true.

Not a big fan of Jones but him on a 1 year deal is infinitely better than Nystrom or Hendricks for 4 years.

Oh so lets run him out of town then. When you have this many holes on a team, finding serviceable isn't a bad thing. Plus why shouldn't he get 15 goal/year a guy money. How many Oilers have scored 15 goals or more in the past 3 years. Go back past his injury and the same bone heads where wanting to trade him too because he didn't do something that they wanted.

I have the privilege of watching boatloads of ACTUAL HOCKEY PLAYERS all the time. I just so happen to also structure my opinion on hockey players based on their ability to play the finer points of the game. You know? Defense? The thing Jones isn't particularly good at. I don't even know where you get off insinuating that Hall is the only player I appreciate because there are plenty of others.

Good luck to the players on this team. As for the management, ownership and most of the fans, you deserve a losing team just because you don't know how to appreciate the good things. Jones has been one of the moves that actually worked out for this team and dumb asses like you have wanted to skid him since he got here.

On a final note, I'd like to revise what I said in the comment that sparked this whole sh!tstorm. When I siad"he's a bad hockey player", I should've instead stated that he was, in my opinion, the wrong type of player for what we should be looking for. Whether I like it not, though, he's back on a 1-year deal. Hopefully he can work on his defensive game a bit more and show better under a stricter coach.

i think i was implying i wouldn't trade a whole lot for vanek, for someone else, absolutely. have to give up to get back. penner wouldn't cost edm any assets.

I dont think he's particularly good either, but a 4th line role could suit him better and if he stops cherry picking and focuses on his own end, then he could be of use. At worst, he's an extra forward that you can walk away from next summer.
