I would love morrow back. he think in an 82 game season and playoffs, his leadership would be a lot more valuable.
lets remember, people always compare iginla/morrow to billy g, lets remember the clear difference.
in 2009, billy g walked in on a team that had finally stopped from freefalling. he had to be that leader, he walked in when they weren't in the top 8 and were playing for their lives.
both morrow and iggy walked in when this team was beyond rolling. they figured they didn't need to be those guys but just play their roles and they'd win a cup.
I would love morrow back for anything under 2 million for 1 year... i'd go 2 if he made it 1.5 or less. guys like him are very valuable.
I also wouldn't mind trading jokinen, but if it came to keeping him, I would love a morrow-sutter-jokinen line. very solid line that has 2 wingers who could play top 6 if need be. |

I like Jokinen because he can go up and down the lineup in case of a Malkin or Crosby injury
in the playoffs, I loved the stint of Bennett Jokinen Iginla, but it was only for the one game

Jokes is a valuable piece to this team. I wish people gave him more respect. He can do a bit of everything and has good hockey IQ. The knock on him I'd say is his skating. |

If Dumoulin is ready I can't see why we shouldn't bring him up. Those guys need to play at some point. I'd love to keep Harrington for 1 year in the AHL before bringing him. He'll be a staple on our lineup. Engelland's days in the Burgh are almost over. - Orpik44

C'mon... Despres is wimpy and can't play against those physical teams. Nisk on the other hand....
Dumolin needs another 5 years of seasoning before Disco will trust him. |

Jussi is a very solid player he can play down low and get nasty when needed, he has been a bit of a pest and is solid in playoffs, he just lost a spot when the team healed up.
Morrow is interesting. He was great as a pen in reg season, but with that injury anyone would slow down.
The d seems decent but with an injury upfront the offense will be thin. |

agreed, this would be my ideal roster heading into camp:
Kunitz-Crosby-Dupuis
Bennett-Malkin-Neal
Morrow-Sutter-Jokinen
Harry Z-Vitale-Adams
Jeffery
Letang-Scuds
Martin-Oprik
Despres-Dumonlin
Engelland
Eaton
MAF
Vokoun
very doable with the contracts IMO. as long as we trade niskanen and get Morrow for under 2 mil, I think it's possible. might need to only keep 2 extra skaters instead of the usual three, but it should work. |

and looking at these new realignment divisions, the northeast is going to be a bloodbath... and our division isn't anything easy either.
lots of teams in the east made themselves a ton better. |

Nisk can handle turning the puck over against physical teams...
5 years of seasoning and then 2 years of watching has bins from the press box should do it. |

This young man has been invited to the Penguins camp.
I know it says Center on this page but on Eliteprospects and HockeyDB it has him as a LW. |

No Bort? Can't imagine him making it through waivers if Brian Strait couldn't make it through...

Even if he does, F that. It's either Harry Z, Scrabble, or Alphabet Soup. |
