Not to defend our award winning GM, but I don't think that the UFA market was that great anyways. I would rather get stay the course and get the young guys playing. Make trades in March. See who can cut it or not.

If they sign Ryder they are better with he and Eriksson over Seguin and Peverley, plus they got the better prospects.

Yeah, it seems that would make sense for both clubs, however Colorado has two goalies who they invested quite a lot in... They would have to part with one of their goalies in order to get it done. It seems like a 3-way trade possibility.
