Hahahahaha. Suffering begins. They're bottoming out on purpose

That's the thing. It seems like Darcy is trying to, but he could also just be doing his usual BS.

They also got the best player (right now) in Eriksson. Not to mention that Reilly Smith kid can be a good NHLer soon

They gained a top 2 way player in the game in Eriksson
they will sign a 2nd line W
Their d is still top 5 in the league
Peverley was virtually useless with that contract

tell me how they lose?

- FLYERSROCK!

They lose if they play the Blackhawks.

This is joke. This is why the Sabres needed to make the change early on. We have little options with Miller. Darcy has lost all credibility and respect within the league.

This pretty much brings us back to hoping Colorado will part with Paul Stastny for Miller... Joe Sakic (after drafting MacKinnon) said he was looking forward to having Duchene and MacKinnon center his top 2 lines. I have a hard time believing they want to pay their 3rd line center $6+ million ($6.6 cap hit). He's in same contract situation as Miller... 1 year remaining, been better in the past than recent history.

Oshie and a 2nd is "too high"?

Ty Rattie is "too high"?

It sounds like the Blues GM is "too high".

What the hell does he want to give us for Millsy, a 6th rounder?!?

- Powerslave

Those are my thoughts too
We aren't going to give Miller away

Our best hope at this point might be to hang onto him
No teams really solidified their goaltending IMO
Come deadline time,
I could def see Philly, Pit, StL, NYI.... Teams like that.... Revisiting A trade for Miller
Right now, they at HOPING they are ok in goal
We'll see how tht works out for them

There could also be teams like Florida, Colorado, Edmonton, etc that could be making a push for the playoffs and want to go after Miller as well

And by the deadline, i'd think Miller would prob be willing to go anywhere that he could at least get into the playoffs

That would be the definition of a lateral move. It does literally nothing for us. It gives an ok center for a year. Nothing for the future, nothing that makes us a contender any quicker

Not worth it. Stastny's incredibly useless for a rebuild, and he's pretty much the same player as Roy. Waste of an asset in Miller IMO. We should be able to get some young guys and picks instead.

You CANNOT take the chance he is injured at the deadline. If he walks for nothing it's a catastrophe for this team.

Yeah, it seems that would make sense for both clubs, however Colorado has two goalies who they invested quite a lot in... They would have to part with one of their goalies in order to get it done. It seems like a 3-way trade possibility.
