This waiting feels much different...

1. We aren't putting band aids on are roster "crappy F/A pickups and low level trades" like we have done since Drury/Briere walked.

2. We are drafting better with more picks in the first couple rounds.

3. We already have some good young pieces on the team.

4. We are finally bad enough to be drafting in the top 5 "definitely if they trade Miller/Vanek".

I'd rather Darcy not be such a sphincter and allow players the ilk of Miller or Vanek walk for nothing or continue to allow their market value plummet.

You shouldn't be worried about Vanek. His market value will be good all offseason and he will still have decent value come trade deadline. Miller on the other hand I agree with you on. Darcy is screwing the pooch on that.

I'll feel much better if they trade Miller before the season and Vanek down the road. It just makes no sense keeping either at this point. If they start out with Miller, I hope he splits games with Enroth. None of this running Miller to the ground crap. I also hope they position Vanek differently so he doesn't get crosschecked to death game in and game out. He needs to hold up for the trade deadline.

What if he breaks his leg in January, then what? I get what you're saying and for the most part I agree, but I think you've got to move both this Summer. It's way to risky to keep them on the roster and then try to move them at the deadline.

I wan't both gone before the season. Don't get me wrong. Its just Vanek will still have plenty of value come deadline day as long as he is healthy. Its risky but its better then being low balled for him and excepting it.

I am so sick of the free-agent thing today when Buffalo did absolutely NOTHING

Ottawa gets Bobby Ryan for a first and Buffalo couldn't get this deal done. He's worth a first and eveyone thought we had a good draft...for the future...ot nowThey've been wanting him fo a long time and fell asleep at the wheel. We're absolutly gonna get killed this season esprcially with this new realignment. Everyone else is getting much betterand us?.....pathetic...just kids and no leadership...coaching or otherwise
