I can also see him signing depth players on one year contracts, so he has cap for next years FA frenzy.

I think that's not a bad deal - I think he's a low risk player and might develop further in the Canucks.

I would have loved to see Clarkson (I don't mind the money but the term is a tad insane)

Ryan would also have been a great acquisition - Ottawa got him pretty cheap in terms of what was going the other way

The best hope we have for movement, besides a bowel movement, is with an Alex Edler trade.
