So i've been out drinking what did I miss?

Kassian will rock everyone's socks off this season. The reason I think people haven't forgotten about CoHo is because Kassian still hasn't excited the fan base on a consistent basis. Once he starts doing so, even if coho is better, people will except the trade for what it was. Dumping a player who didn't want to be here for a player that management wanted.

Some very good points. I (and every Canucks fan except for Fosco ) hope that's what happens. Of course the jury is still out in terms of 'what' Kassian will end up being. However, like you said, even if Kassian doesn't end up as good as Coho, but excites the fans with consistently tough/gritty play, people are going to be satisfied (or at least stop bringing up the Coho trade ad naseum)

Lets be clear here.... its not that people are sick of hearing Hodgson. They are sick of the one guy who doesnt eat the bullpoop being handed out here. I disagree and then it's "stop bringing up Cody" even though I'm only responding. It is because I dont follow the party line.


How many Cody posts would have I made today if eveyone didnt join in and actually keep it alive? There is a group right now who like me wont stop the discussion yet those same people think only one person is pushing the topic. All I have been doing today is either answering the comments directed at me or quoted the original posts on the subject before I arrived. The Drama is barely mine at all.... it's how many people get wound up when I'm involved simply because I stand off the wagon. Even if its a mild comment on the subject, people like Chompsey.... *like he just admitted*, instigate to watch what he hopes will be a meltdown. Of couse I don't see a single person frowning on that....the person here to mostly start poop.

I have forgottone about CoHo. I am a Kassian fan. I think when he decides he wants the puck ,he dominates. He also can hit big,and fight.

He is no where near his potential yet and I see sunny days ahead. I think we will see improvement this year and more the following year. Let's see what a year with the twins does.

Im in a motel room in Terrace right now fishing Chinooks in the Skeena. Very poor spring run(still got a 30 lb today) but everyone talking how you cant get a line down through the coho to get at the springs out at Rupert right now. Everyone's excited about that run... as am I. I already made my CoHo fly fishing plans for the Kitimat River this late Aug/Early Sept. I cant go on my elk hunt so bumming it on the rivers I will go instead.

Hooked a 45 at Kitwanga last year. There is some big fish in that river.

Pretty brutal stuff so far... Esplen's wish list features retreads and smaller guys, doesn't exactly fit Torts plans I'm thinking. In fact, nothing that's happened so far really fits Torts expected plans.

Richardson and Weber are basically minor league depth. As it is right now though they're probably our 4th line C and 6th dman. Gillis has no assets he can trade, no space to make a signing and most of our prospects aren't even close to ready in my mind. We might be forced into playing Schroeder for a full season if he doesn't want north of 1.5 mil...

This team has fallen a pretty far distance in my view.
