only Cullen.

But again, are you surprised? Te only reason Briere came out was bc 1. he was a buyout, and 2. he said it himself

Wow Blues are effed next year.

Steen
Berglund
Sobotka
Schwartz
Boumeester
Halak
Elliot

All need contracts

- SiloCity

Bouwmeester will make less money. Only need to resign one of Halak/Elliott. Cap goes up, and Steen/Bergy/Sobotka are all looking at small raises. Blues are totally fine.

So that leaves....

Calgary, NYI, EDM, FLA (short term), TB, and maybe WSH could be the goalie market out there right now.

Leafs will take one more run at extending Tyler Bozak in the minutes ahead. If they can't make a deal...he goes free. #TSN

5 more minutes until every other team in the league does something. Darcy was just spotted on the 3rd tee and CCB and was quoted as saying he left his phone in the car. OOPS

Per Renaud Lavoie - Emery to Flyers is basically done. One less Miller suitor, but one less Goalie on the market also.
- truthbluth

That leavs NYI as the only real option for Miller.

Like I said before Josh Bailey and a second. Bailey is similar to Hodgson but with Better D. Gives Sabres the option to move Ennis for a winger.

Not gaming the the system. If Pronger retires, he stops getting paid. Whole point of players wanting longer contracts is just for this reason. If they get a career ending injury, they can still be paid for a few years before retiring.
- Antilles

Respectfully, I disagree. Burying the contract of a player that is never going to play again by placing them on LTIR is not what LTIR is for. They knew the rules when they signed Pronger to that 35+ contract, and they figured that he wouldn't retire because he was in great health. One concussion later, and now that are using LTIR as a retirement buffer. It is gaming the system, but like I said, nobody cares.

St. Louis seems like a good trading partner for Miller....
- toddkac

allen and elliot

thats without halak, so i doubt they would go after miller, and they still need to sign rfa's

Holmgren actually didn't know that rule..which made the confusion all the more exciting/funny.

Calgary is rebuilding and has 4-5 prospects. IMO, Wsh is going to go with what they have, EDM as well.

I really only see NYI as a destination that works both for a trade spot and for Millers NMC.

They were reports as trying to trade Halak...what does that tell you? You think STL management think they are contenders with Allen and elliot in net?

Seriously? I hadn't heard that, although I do remember that the 35+ thing first came into focus over Pronger's contract. Lolmgren.

Oh. So that's why we are in the market for a goalie?

.929 / .931
.915 / .917

The number on the left represents career regular season save %. The number on the right...playoffs.

I'll let you try to figure out which one is the Vezina-winning elite all-star caliber goaltender that every team wants, and which one is the not so "f'n solid" younger, cheaper goaltender on a team with no cap space.
