Edmonton is a different situation.....no one wants to play in Edmonton so IMO it was a tactic to try to get a star player to come to Edmonton.

We should have taken the picks. We havent won a playoff series since

I think Anaheim is still in play. They spent a lot of money last year and need something to show for it. Could be a deal there.

4 1sts?

yea.. we probably should have.. but I think that if Vanek would have left on top of Drury and Briere.. that we never would have gotten Miller or Pominville to extend.

meaning that we probably would have gone bankrupt and moved to Hamilton or Quebec?

Anyone remember what happened when Vancouver decided to offer sheet Backes a few years back? I would tread lightly with St Louis if you've got your own RFAs to deal with.

no his contract expired with Chicago..

I just pieced together through tweets that Philly and him were basically on the same page...

kind of like how Alfie and Detroit are on the same page.

I think it makes sense for us fans a Miller for Hiller+++ swap and buy out Hiller(possible)

But I cant see Anaheim feeling Miller is that much more of a upgrade to pay the price for Miller.

Edmonton hasn't even been to the playoffs since. Even with the best picks in the draft.

Wrong. Philly has a multi year deal on the table ...nothing has been said yet from his side.

with the likelihood of Piet's salary being above $6,728,781, I don't see a team wanting to give up a 2 1st rounders, a second and a third. Now if a team was lucky enough to keep him at that number and just give up a 1st, 2nd and 3rd the possibilities are more.

They have to sign the offersheet first of all and who knows would either of those players like to come to HockeyHeaven knowing how long it could take to be good again not that either player is old to worry about it but I think they can get enough money and stay on a winning team instead of getting a stupid amount to lose for a few years

I think Miller and Vanek will be at the highest trade value in a few days.....after desperate teams lose out on free agency and see where they stand with salary cap there is a good chance they are traded.....If they are on the starting roster I will start thinking Regier needs to be fired....not there yet

Vanek to CLB for Atkinson, Jenner, and their 1st rounder

Miller and Stafford to NYI for Moulson/Okposo, de Haan, and their 1st.

Maybe we throw in a prospect like McNabb or JGL or perhaps a 2nd to even things out in one trade.

The experienced winger and prospects on the wing are key in this trade. A 1st is almost guaranteed i hope.

Reiger needs to make the bold move, but Blues would offer sheet Hodgson and force Buffalo to pay him more;

Stewart would be nice, but I would want to hear what Sacco says about his lazy streak when he coached him and traded him out of Colorado.
