Im starting to get very concerned about the 4 guys that need contracts right now. If you were any of them, how would you not feel a little bitter watching all of these deals getting recorded by the league at the values they're at. Stepan and McDonagh, I would be sitting there saying I deserved at the very least 4.5M for my contributions to the team. Hagelin and Zucc? Thats even worse. How do you convince these two they are only worth 1.25M-2M when we are seeing players that aren't as talented or hardworking getting 2.5-3.5M per season? This is really bad for us right now, we don't even need an offer sheet to screw us, the market is doing that just fine. - xcheckmajor
See what Hamonic got per season form the Isles? RFAs don't have that leverage that UFAs do. |

More and more I am loving this signing.
Dominic Moore @mooredom 34m

lineup configuration will be interesting. If Richards is 3C and Moore is 4C, then Miller moves to wing as does Boyle, where the latter struggled last year. Wonder if a trade could occur? |

When youre 21-22 years old, your first post-ELC contract is never some crazy deal. |

I actually like the signing by the Isles a lot, Hamonic has major upside and scratching the surface as to how good he will be. |

Hamonic got 3.86m AAV
Voynov got 4.166m AAV
McDonagh should command about 4.35m to 4.5m |

Exactly, kid is going to be a really good one and that is my point. UFAs have more leverage to negotiate and RFAs never do. Hamonic is more valuable than the myriad of average players that got insane deals today. |

I know some of these deals were crazy and glad we weren't apart of them. But there were some people out there to be had with decent deals and Sather comes up with Dominic Moore? Not Sh!tting on Moore, he's a good player and will do well on the 4th line. I'm just wondering what Sather has been doing all day? |

Wow I do remember that Future of our team. Betts, Moore, Hollweg, Ortmeyer... wow things have changed... Take a minute to think about the young guys on those teams for a second and be happy at what we have now |

By definition, which players had decent deals that the Rangers missed out on today? |

He def wants a max contract when hes 27 years old.
I say we end up with a 4 year, 18.5m contract on McDonagh. |

To me, Hendricks, unless you don't want to go four years. Remainder had too high of a cap hit, including Scuderi, Ference etc. |

I disagree once we got Moore. Moore w/ his contract > Hendricks w/ his contract |

I thought Hendricks had a nice cap number, 1.8 even though 4 yrs. Stalberg's wasn't too bad. He would have been a nice addition. Plus defense wise I read that Weber signed for only 650k and I think I saw Jeff Schultz signed for only 700k. I know Blum is still out there, hopefully they can grab him. |

I think the signing of Moore is more about whether we can make Boyle expendable. However we wont know that until a couple of months into the season. |
