Exactly and I am quickly realizing why other fans laugh at the general New York Rangers fan.

Most of the regulars here are sensible but man some of you treat this as a fantasy hockey league.

Who got better? Boston got worse. Pitt is worse than the we're at years end. Ottawa maybe a little better. The Jackets got better. But I'm not seeing anybody that got that much better.

Players union got better today. Next time owners want to lockout players the players should just say ok we wil sign whatever CBA you want because in the end the owners wil always over pay the players

The only team that improved this summer from last season, and I'll say it again, is Philly; for this year anyway.

No other team did anything today that strikes fear in me, as a Rangers fan.

The only deal today that tugged at my heart strings was the Bobby Ryan TRADE. No free agent signing am I disappointed we didn't match if we could.

Thoughts? I like seeing Dom back, good glue guy and he is not bereft of ability either.

I think the Rangers should give both of those guys companion 8 year deals in the 36 to 40 million dollar range and be done with it. Deals would be bargains in three years.

You were a little more harsh than I, which is rare, but I wrote something similar a little earlier.

I like getting Moore and that they really can't do much else free agency-wise.

I dont know about Philly, theyre going into the year with Mason and Emery as goalies behind an always questionable defense. Their offense, however, did improve.

Boston is about the same.

Ottawa seems like they improved a bit.

Columbus improved, although Horton wont be playing until December.

Toronto, theyre about the same... some added physicality from Clarkson, but the contracts were terrible.

Devils, hah, whatever.

Lecavalier and Streit will help this season. I also think a platoon situation between Emery and Mason will be alright. I don't think Philly is a contender but they look better today than they did at season's end. That was all I meant by that.

No other team in the East significantly got better today, not at all.

One of the biggest knocks I have on Richards is that he has become terrible on them, Stepan is weak, Brassard is decent, Boyle is good.

But Moore is excellent, so I like this.
