Also, I'm guessing that the DA in his area is a woman. Usually they make the most retarded DA's always trying to prove themselves.
My hockey coach 10 years ago was a high school teacher. He had a 16 yo student that he commented on how nice she looked. His exact words according to the court filing were "You look nice today". The 16 yo went to college to become a lawer. When she passed her BAR, she filed a lawsuite for sexual harrassment and got her friend to join in saying he also "flirted" with her when she was 17.
The DA was a woman on her first month on the job. She pressed as hard as she could an ended up winning.
My coach who was 35 at the time is now a registered sex offender. Even with a petition of 1000 former students claiming he never did anything like that.
Funny thing is, he came out of the closet a few years after. He was gay. - l3ig_l2ecl

OTTAWA -- The Canadian Army is marching into its past.
As part of the ongoing image makeover of the military, Defence Minister Peter MacKay announced Monday that the army will replace the Maple Leaf rank designation on the shoulder boards of officers with the traditional "pips" and Crowns in a nod to the country's past.
The ranks of non-commissioned officers will also be returned to the original British Army and Commonwealth designations.
The decision means the rank of private, within the army, will be virtually eliminated and replaced with trooper, bombardier, fusilier, rifleman or guardsman, depending upon the unit.
The designations were in place throughout the First and Second World Wars, when Canada achieved some of its greatest military triumphs, and the changes don't strip away any Canadian identity, but rather strengthen the bond with the past, MacKay said.

In this case yes, I understand the point for the Unites States to keep their strong military.... it's costing a poopload of money but they wouldn't have the same ..."impact" on the world without it. |

meh.
i'm happy to pay my taxes and have it go to keeping a strong military. it's a dangerous world and i for one want to be defended as much as possible.
what if one of these rogue nations pulled some kind of attack on Montreal or Ottawa? still no need for armed Canadian forces? |

Considering our present force, unless we start investing massively in the military, we'd be outmatched by most without the help of our allies.
Besides, Canada was always considered a country of peace before the last couple of years....
Edit: For the first time since it's creation, Canada lost his seat at the... if it's the right term.... "security counsel" of the United nations... mostly because it wasn't seen the same way as before.
I'm not saying we shouldn't have one at all, just that it should be far from being something we want to invest billions of dollars in. |

So we should just rely on the States to protect us? We should maybe just have one military on one side of the ocean and one on the other side maybe? Like maybe one in the States and one in Russia or China?
This is your bright idea?
I'm sure the States would be thrilled to protect our borders. To help in case of disaster. The be the only one responsible for peace keeping throughout the world.
There would be 62 States if that was the case. |

Hey Mr. Obama...it's me Steven Harper. Say....we were thinking of disbanding our Military because it costs money. Do you think you and your people would be able to help us out and protect us? No....No....it's all on you. We won't be helping ourselves at all.
