Oddly enough the more I think about it the more that Perron - Plek deal makes some sense. Blues need a centre to replace McDonald and you guys need another Great French Hope on the wing.

Where do we sign?

That's why one of Plek/DD/Eller will be traded for a winger in the next days, imo.

Looks like they didn't get the memo!

They are not allowed to talk $ figure until noon. RDS are a bunch of idiots trying to come out first before Dregger or Mckenzie.

- l3ig_l2ecl

Funny how Dreger comes out with all these $ figures yet teams aren't supposed to discuss $. Scuderi deal is already out.

I still think one of DD or Plekanec is traded.
- Scabeh

Plekanec would fetch a better return...but then we'd still have DD...

I think Eller is the one that should be traded...Eller and DD...

get a #1 or 2 centre...Galchenyuk fills the other spot, and you have plek on the 3rd line with PP and PK time. If we don't get the #1/2 C, Plek can still fill that role for another year.

I'm afraid that if we keep Eller people will want him on the first two lines (Glachenyuk being the other C) but that he just won't produce enough points/offence...

I fear he's gonna be THE bargaining chip included for a top-6 winger.
But looking at the centre position market, Plekanec will probably be the one moved.

I believe DD is being shopped, so might Gionta. If they get both on the move then he'd sign another winger. But for the sake of the exercice, let's say MB is done at forward, I think we are more likely to see something like this:

Galchenyuk-Plekanec-Bourque
Pacioretty-Briere-Gallagher
Dumont-Eller-White
Moen-Desharnais-Prust

That the Habs would have 7 20 goal scorers. You also said mid-season last year that the Habs had a good shot at the Stanley Cup. Their top 6 forward group isn't very good. With Detroit joining our division, I don't see the Habs making the playoffs with the current group.

two things... I made that prediction more than two years ago, and it was a prediction. Bold it was, but it was for fun.

Last year, I believed in the way the team competed, and believed they needed to add at the trade deadline to legitimize their chances.

As for your predictions on this upcoming year...
