ok you people whining about salaries and correlation to the owners/lockout need to stop. the cap went down $6 million this year per team. do the math. that means that there is as much as $180 million less that will be spent on salaries this coming year. no matter what players are getting now, they would be getting MORE had there not been a lockout. we're also seeing higher AAV's because we've eliminated front-loaded deals that span 3 decades. there is less money going to the players, more to the owners, and David Clarkson getting paid over $5 million does nothing to change that.

and if you are going to whine, then point your finger at the players who will be cashing these ridiculous checks, because they're the ones claiming they were being treated like animals.
