I wasn't that impressed with him watching him play either. I recognize the other "intangibles" like fighting. But Clarkson is worth more at 6M than this guy is at 4M. I'd pay Clowe 3M/2y tops. Unless you're a defenseman with a good stay at home game, you don't get paid more than 3M to score under ten goals. But NJ overspends on FAs, so they're going to give him some retarded 18M/4y contract and he's going to be untradeable as a result.

I still maintain that Dupuis and Neal's success is in HUGE part to playing with Crosby and Malkin respectively. I think they both realize they could get more money elsewhere but will have more success individually and likely on a team basis signing for less with Pit.

I don't disagree. But Neal is still better than Clowe any way you slice it. And Dupuis is one of the best defensive forwards in the league, with more skill than Zajac...even without Crosby.
