From what I read, he wants to parlay this into a bigger payday the season after. Don't see how he couldn't have done that here, as CC isn't the long term solution. Seems many teams are embracing the 2 goalie plan, unless they have a stud in net, but they need to pay them big, big, money.

He has a chance for more playing time in Philly. He was in Chicago for two years and didn't parlay that into a huge payday because of lack of playing time. That wouldn't have changed for a 3rd year.

You're probably right, but I remember fondly when he went toe to toe with McGrattan and it was a draw with both landing plenty. Adams was a guy who played bigger than he was. Might have been the toughest guy on that hawks team.

Bowman's been making solid contact in the cage but this is clearly a WHIFF.

I am presently watching the World Junior Championship game between Sweden and the USA at Christmas. I wanted to see get a Hartman fix (since I erased the Prospects game when he threw 6 big time hits prompting

Things that have struck me so far.

Less than one minute in, Seth Jones got handcuffed by Swdish forecheckers and cough it...they aren't NHL caliber forecheckers...and that is why he dropped too.

I didn'thave to look for Hartman long....when USA goaler John Gibson made a save and play halted he seemed to come out of nowhere to let the the Swedish forward in front he should back off.

and he is plays so close to whomever is carrying, he closes on the backcheck really well applies pressure pressure pressure.

Wm Karlssom level Hartman with middle zone hit - and I )of course ) was expecting some retaliltory stuff from him, but it didn't come...control. Nice.

Zus will be a great signing. He can center on the PK, center on L2-C if needed, kills penalties, wins draws. He is slow, but makes up for it by being smart. He also sold out to help the Hawks win the Cup playing with several injuries. He is part of the Cup team and I am happy he is back.

I'm sure he will be in and out of the lineup all season until the REAL season begins.

GREAT day if we could manage it. Hendricks is another faceoff ace, a good PK guy and he will hit and defend his teammates. Would LOVE him in Chi-Town
