Thanks Eli! Never thought my love for Rusty would sour things with UN. I mean he's Rusty for christsakes...what's not to love?

To the Pirri fascination......
- UnnamedSource

Sooner or later the Hawks need to see what Pirri can do at the NHL level and now is the time. Pirri's more of a top 6 type guy, but he could start on then 4th as far as I'm concerned.

But penciling him into the #2 role is ridiculous...

Not mucho. How was your 4th?

Not sure where you stand but this is about what I expected from free agency. It's not like there was a lot of money to go around so I'm happy they've been able to bring back some of their own and am happy to get Rozy back and think Zues for another year is ok too.

- HawkintheD

4th was good thanks......how was yours? I just got back from a movie with my son...Lone Ranger.....one of the worst I have ever seen.

I'm glad the D is back.....the Leddy deal is a good one and Rosi will continue to be an anchor on the back end.

Yeah, you're not going to want him there. His defensive play is "meh" at best. He needs to be in a offensive roll. I'm not into the idea of penciling him in as the second line center. If he gets there, he should earn it in camp.

In all, I think Kruger should be the 2nd line center between Sharp and Hossa. I think he's earned the right to be there. I could see Morin earning a 4th line role out of camp, and maybe Hayes as a 13th or 14th forward.

I think Pirri should be in Rockford, centering the top line.

On these boards, do you guys argue this personnel and cap stuff year-round? Or will it sort of die down until next season starts to kick in to gear?

Just curious...

Good. Went to some friends around here to BBQ.

Was Lone Ranger in the same vein as Wild Wild West bad? Still want to see the new Trek movie.

The beautiful thing about the board is that you could not check in for say 6 months; but when you come back it's like you never left.

Allan Walsh Tweet:

walsha: With most teams spending under the assumption of a $70M+ cap in 2014-15, the lockout and loss of 42% of the regular season was pointless.

Something like this?

Blowman sucks! Silver spoon! What has he ever done?

Stupid Q-pon and his dumba$$ power play (that one's valid).

Man I don't know but no way Crawford be in net if we expect to win a Cup.

Too small.

Too soft.

Kind of like that?

Not the same argument at all......My point was with Stalberg, if people are going to complain about him for not standing up for his teammates then we should be bytching about everyone on the roster with the exception of a few. Several times during the past few years comments have been made about several Blackhawks who failed to come to the aide of their teammate so my objection was for him being singled out.

As far as the Tim Thomas "team first" teammate....I'm sorry that statement is wrong....

....and let me pause because I am still a huge Tim Thomas fan......

His personal beliefs do not matter in this argument so I'm not even going to bring them up....I could care less. My point is, to be a team first guy you don't make statements for days overshadowing the achievement and celebration of the team. A simple no comment or a "prior commitment" statement would have been sufficient. However, he took to his facebook.....his twitter....had a press conference and what really upset his teammates was, instead of them being asked about the stanley cup achievement and reflecting on their season, they had to answer questions on why he chose to skip the ceremony......so in the end.....not a team guy.

You also forgot...

Not enough red-ass

He needs to gain 20 lbs in the off season

We just drafted _______ . He will make the Hawks next season.

We'll trade you Olesz, we expect Evander Kane in return.

I do not anticipate a lot of "Getzlaf to the Hawks" trade discussion this year....we can retire that one...as well as anyone with the genius idea of bringing Rusty up to help the Hawks......so two may be gone forever but.....never to be outdone the legion of the genius will now fill us with endless posts of....

Pirri at 2C
Leblanc at 2C
Hayes can take face offs
..more to come as the season goes along....
