Just got home and looked up the day's transactions. I'm OK with Zeus. I'm ecstatic about Roszival!

Backup goalie and 2C seem to be the critical issues now... Bye Razor. Sorry to see him go too, but not surprised.

- Tugboat

Have the terms of Roszival's deal been posted yet?

Bickell had thumb surgery?
- faustus1500

Sure, it had to be repaired. He spent the '11-'12 season skating around with it stuck up his ass.

Swap Kruger and Hanzdus and I think you've got a winner. Hanzdus getting regular top 9 minutes = recipe for disaster.
- Ogilthorpe2

Agreed.

I could see Handzus spotting on the 2nd line from time to time, but not in a regular complicity.

Try to keep up.

Be fair - Swedes - Finns - hard to keep them all straight.

Antii Raant- Rinne - Karlsson - Hjalmarsson - too many double consonants to keep track of.

Why would the Hawks even want Khabibulin? Rather just see Cro start all 82 then see this washed up bum in a Hawks uniform again.

I don't get it either....Apparently wanting to prove himself by playing a bigger role on a team is bad and is considered selfish...oh and he doesn't stick up for his teammates but it's okay when Bickell, Hossa, Kane, Saad, etc don't.....oh and the extended shifts...never saw him do that but saw Kane do it plenty of times.....Stalberg will have a nice career and he will do well in Nashville.
- UnnamedSource

Q saw it plenty hence the double benching.....you guys can cry a river for Vik...good on ya....but y'all would be female dog'n up a storm if he signed with us for $3 mil/yr so PHUCK'N SPARE ME THE BULL SHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHIT

Kruger or Pirri will centre the 2nd line with Handzus on the 4th. Kruger could end up on the 3rd too.

Time to break out the old 'Bulin Wall shirt.

Don't forget...Khabby was a key part of the Rocky Renaissance and won TWO SERIES in '09 before he got hurt. And that's the problem with Khabby...he has a helluva time cashing huge checks AND staying healthy.

Hawks talking to Gramps. Philco his agent won't comment
- hockey nut 28

Steve and I talked it over and we'll sign for whatever's left under the cap once Krugs and a suitable backup tender are inked.

I didn't like the WH snub personally because it's a ref flag if you are not mature enough to stand near a man you don't like or disagree with then you got issues. These WH snubs are childish whether a Tea Party guy does 'em or someone on the political left. So I think Tim Thomas is a cheeseball because of the WH snub.

That all being said, the guy is (or was) a beast goal tender and overcomes some 'technical questions' about his game because the guy just fights like hell and him being of interest to the Hawks should have NOTHING to do with his politics, but rather if he is a good player and is a good fit on the team.

That's the issue, I think Thomas is a horrible fit on this team given Crow will probably STILL be questioned when we enter next season. Having Thomas sitting on deck would create major goalie controversy. Hell, I'd probably be one of the first ones yelling to put Thomas in the moment Crow gives up a softie.

I view Hanzus role as a guy that is put out there to win faceoffs but mainly on the 4th line until playoffs start

Who, Carruth? He's 3 to 5 years away, at least. If he makes it at all.
- EKolb13

Eli, Mac was a product of the D that played in front of him just as Crow was.
