I might, I just can't stop laughing at the Kotex mafia's full out assault on Vic. Next thing you know we are going to hear he took the last marble rye from some old polish lady on the south side.
Or that he was the cause of the lock out in the first place. Ever since he took your beach ball, you have not cut him any slack. - TrueGrit
LOL....hilarious Grit!

Definitely. I just think the Wings aren't really built for the style of play during the regular season in the East... a lot of heavy hitting, dirty teams out there... Staying healthy might be a big issue, especially for their already-thin D.
I agree CBJ is going to surprise a lot of people this year.. That roster is looking good & having the best goalie in the league doesn't hurt. - CBHawks88
Can't swing a dead cat without hitting a best goalie in the league: it seems to change every week.
Rinne, then Lundquist, then Quick, then Bob the Goalie, then Rask.
Just about the only one whom no one (including me) thinks is the best won the Cup. |

Guess I just don't understand the Stalberg angst...
He didn't cost much, was a decent contributor, wasn't any trouble away from the rink, don't recall his teammates throwing him under the bus.
Had a few issues with Q this year, and the Hawks won another Cup anyway.
Moving on to Nashville...
...I just shrug and wish him luck (except when he faces the Hawks).
It's just not worth any further comment. - ArlingtonRob
I don't get it either....Apparently wanting to prove himself by playing a bigger role on a team is bad and is considered selfish...oh and he doesn't stick up for his teammates but it's okay when Bickell, Hossa, Kane, Saad, etc don't.....oh and the extended shifts...never saw him do that but saw Kane do it plenty of times.....Stalberg will have a nice career and he will do well in Nashville. |

Interesting comment by the Ottawa GM during his presser: we are not a cap team, we're a budget team.
They have no intention of spending to the cap, even with the sixth est attendance in the league.
Capgeek: 20 players signed, $14.6MM in cap space.
If I were a season ticket holder, I'd be more passed that they're not spending to the cap to win a Cup than that they lost Alfredsson. - StLBravesFan
Maybe that is why Alfredsson left. When you have ownership handicapping the team like that.... fans should be pissed. |

This hard working self-made Tea Party fan - he's going to be happy and not cause any problems playing only fill-in or 10-15 games per year? - StLBravesFan
He is a tough guy to bet against. I wonder how many fans know that he was 4 years OLDER than CC, who is not young, before he got his shot in the NHL and played great, world class goal and won a cup.
Have not got a vibe where he may fit best right now. Totally agree, not the best thing to have him backing up some where. Its not like he would not be a good team guy, but when it becomes obvious in practice that he is better than the starter, just would not be good situation. |

So, it took him 17 full seasons with the Sens to figure that out? Guess Alfie is a slow learner. |

Sorry buddy, Cleary needs to play the puck possession game. He is not going to go out and dazzle anyone with skating or energy. That is no disrespect to him. You add him to be your solid two way guy with good hands on your third line, and spot fill top 6 due to injuries. You don't put that guy on your fourth line. |

Yes. The guy would get a chance to show he can still play on a contender and pull in a bigger contract to close out his career.
The guy ate it and went to Finland to play for nothing to develop his game. Took him a decade to get to the NHL. That is self made. |

Despite him being long gone, I still scratch my head over SB's signing of John Scott...
...that's one that still has me questioning SB's sanity as a GM. |

Cap hit of $1M. He was eligible for bonuses for some reason, so his salary is only 700k |

His speed did open up things in the RS. Otherwise who cares. Not sure he will enjoy the Trotz system though over Q. Even more defensive.
Would really like to see the Hawks replace that speed at forward. It ain't comin from Pirri and Morin.
