Everyone on the D is back.....need a back up goalie.....so if everything holds.

10-16-81
20-65- Pirri?
28-26- Morin or Hayes?
Bolling/Carillo
See what I did Ekolb?
More I think about it Pirri may be better suited at wing.... - UnnamedSource
Not on the third line.

I wouldn't be surprised in BBank is moved and Stanton fills that role...Also, If Zues does sit out....Smith and Pirri can slide in at center....if in fact Pirri is at wing. - UnnamedSource
I wouldn't be surprised if Brookbank saw more time on the 4th line wing and Stanton was kept around as an 8th defenseman. |

well, looking at his bio...C is not listed as his position....anywhere.. if its wrong, so be it....i didnt follow him closely in his college and Flyer early days.....my bad....
Since the Hawks got him...where has he played and excelled?
He had a good playoff run at C....not his daily gig
So Q is wrong about playing Sharp at W? He has had ample oportunity to move him there, yet hasnt? Wonder why??? Gotta be Sharpie refusing to play C and an entire organization accepting his demands - dpard
Sharp said more than once in interviews this year he would play Center if the team asked. |

NO!
I'd sooner start Philco in goal rather than carry DiPietro. |

"excited to go back to philly..stayed in contact with them..great opportunity to go back...no secret that Corey's gonna be there awhile and break the bank with next deal...excited about team Philly will have." - philco28
I heard that too. Doubt it.
CC will be gone after next year...at least I hope so.
Keep that net minder AAV down low SB! ...and keep signing Finnish FA goalies! |

Apparently, the Canadian TV contacts will be renewed after next year - should be a big revenue boost.

Good riddance. I'll miss his speed, but that's about it. - EKolb13
Stalberg should have signed with Detroit since he reminds me of all those failed Lions receivers that Matt Mullin drafted. His measurable make GMs drool, but the production doesn't match what you would expect. I think he would have put it together by now if he was going to do so. |

Crow will NOT break the bank in Chicago. Anyone who isn't completely divorced from reality will know the Hawks will keep their goalies salary manageable and will identify a core of skaters to build around. We are following the Red Wings model (with much success) and that model does not include a 5 million dollar goalie.
Yea sure...lets resign Crawford and let Toews walk. ....that's what it literally may come down to. |

Viktor Stalberg: "I wanted a bigger opportunity, a bigger role on the team. That’s what I was looking for in free agency." #Blackhawks
I.E. selfish 2 minute shifts - philco28
Seems Viktor 'I' Stalberg fits in better with Lebron 'I' James then with Jonathan 'We' Toews. |

Ok, so - right now (assuming Kruger is back) - Bolland, Frolik, Stalberg, Emery gone - replaced by Pirri, Morin, Smith, Question Mark - happy with this?
Contending team next year?
However the lines shake out, can Q consistently roll four lines like he could this year? |

We AREN'T considering ANY in UFA.
I don't think you fully understand hwo the Cap works, how Handzus HELPED us win, How not all COULD be kept, but we are used to reaidng whining about the GMs moves....
but you are seeing some small picture on a 70 inch big screen... - wiz1901
I get that we couldn't keep everyone. I can see letting Stalberg go, Frolik an Emery both fit their roles very well. I don't think having a solid backup to Crawford us prudent, and our penalty killing and defense will certainly suffer without Fro. Not saying their irreplaceable, just think they were worth what they were being paid. Look how many guys we brought on that didn't meet expectations...montador, brookbank, Burnett, Odonnel, turco, et al.
Not saying I'm right, just saying what they're giving up may be really hard to replace |

Sure I like him...just not enough to pay him 6.5-7.5M a year.
Buh bye Corey...hello Antti Raanta!! |

Of coarse they're a contending team! You have doubts? Considering everything we've all witnessed since 2008 you question the club now?

don't thinkbreaking the bank is Emery'sconcern but rather his complete lack of being a starter, as if that's a realistic thought anyway. |

Happy? It's what I expected, so I'll say content.
Yes
That depends upon how the 4th line (and don't discount a surprise add for little money from Stan) gels defensively. |
