Me too. I think that's Shaw natural game and he already said the Hawks have told him that's pretty much his role here so I don't see him on Line 2 anytime soon barring injuries.

I don't think so. Stan will sign someone. Most likely in the next few days. The Hawks are in no rush it seems.

David Poile is a good GM, and he's remaking the Preds yet again.

The Preds will be very competitive next year, so we can all keep our Barry Trotz jokes close at hand....he'll be around for a few more years.

And I'm happy for Carter Hutton...he's taken the long road to the NHL. Great opportunity for the guy.

I don't think it's too big of a concern. He's been qualified, so that worry is over with. I think the Kruger situation will work itself out.

Likely nothing crazy but glad to see both he and Zus re-signed. Lock up Kruger and if there's any money left a bottom 6 fwd and done.

I know it's not sexy but the core's in place so I'm sure most of us realized there wouldn't be any jaw dropping moments (for the Hawks anyway) today; and that's more than just ok.
