Nashville adds Cullen too. They also likely have the new Forsberg on display and not in Milwaukee. Two other first round selection from past drafts are probably going in opposite direction. Blum sticks and wait to see how he may develop. On other hand, Ellis has to learn and be able to play defense at pro level. He is so good offensively that he could be in NHL strictly on power play.

Detroit and Nashville have made improvements. But....Red Wings are in the Eastern Conf now. Last post I overlooked that.

I do agree and I don't think Zus was resigned to take L2-C role. He was signed to center line 4 (much like when we traded for him), but given he was forced into a L2-C role because of Bolland injury/ineffectiveness it does show "in a pinch" Zus can center than 2nd line for a period of time.

No, I think Kruger, Pirri and LeBlanc will be in open competition for the L2-C role (sleepers are welcomed too) and one of those guys will win it (or be slotted there based on needs elsewhere, Kruger may be more needed on a checking line for example) and given the job. However, we won't be stuck with Pirri or whoever if the guy sucks. We just move him out and move Zus into the role and hope to make an add around trade deadline.
