You pointed out how bad the guy was, I pointed to his actual statistics. Gave a point of reference. Not saying he is better than Horton or anything like that. Was illustrating that the guy has been a 40 point guy per season last few, without PP time. Notice too how I never said he should replace any of our top 6 guys. The opportunties were not here for him.

Because he did not break the top 6 per here, does not mean he could not or does not deserve a shot. I enjoy debate, it is a fun exercise. While as a fan, you and others may feel a certain way a bout a guy, hey that is cool. If you and I had a playboy calendar, we likely would pick a different month.

My goal posts never moved. Just disagree with the premiss that all the 25 stereo types were on full display hurting his team this season and in the playoffs. Q, whether justified or not, did what he did. His call. I simply, all along asked why are we making any changes, when everyone else can't keep up and play with us? That was it, was no endorsement of 25 as a hall of famer or a savoir. Many took the position, that one roster spot was not going to make a difference one way or the other. Totally disagreed with that. Why not just rotate guys than.

That could go down as an all time awful signing if Clowe plays like he did last year. Bickell's contract is looking better everyday.

So Alfredsson is signing a one year deal with the Wings to win a Cup. Sounds familiar. The last guy who did that then had to come to Chicago to make that happen.

Obviously Hossa came close with the Wings, I think Alfredsson has much less of a chance of that happening next year.

Carries risk...but if he acts up..he's gotta know he's a PHUCK'N ICEHOLE and shouldn't risk rockn' the boat.

Just look at the Bowman's history with goalies. They're not gonna lock him up to a huge deal, that's not their style. And just because this year the money might be tight for free agent goalies, doesn't mean next year won't. All the other number 1's are getting, or have, big bucks. If some team feels that they need a number 1, and have the $$, no reason they won't do it. Plenty of teams that will have the money to spend.

Emery is unproven as a starter? Only with regards to his hip health. Outside of that, he's proven he can play as a starter.

And of course it's his hip health - and if he stays in Chicago, he won't be able to prove his hips will handle a starting role for two years (if ever).
