If he's cheap enough, I could live with him as a back up.

If he's healthy, wouldn't be the worst back up.
Last year 2.54 & .923 save percent.
Assuming no injury to Crow, you're looking for a guy to play 15-20 games.

Well said. However, if the only risk is he makes CC look bad then you jump to get him... if it is cheap.

Anyone saying he is a locker room headache please post to a single example of Thomas causing any locker room issue before his Obama moment....

Hey, man, if that's what you're into, go for it. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

I'm sure that isn't a problem. The Wirtz family has a liquor distributorship. I'm sure their in house guys know what to do with this. They handle alcohol related things all the time.

Wasn't there talk of something happening in the room during the 2009 WCF against the Wings? I don't remember the details, but it would seem like he would be unwelcome after that.
- NewToHockey

Didn't he call out the team or the D between periods and took himself out of the game or something like that.

If a man doesn't want to meet the President because the President is a tool. I have to respect the fact he is a man standing on his principles. Dan Hampton didn't go when the 85 bears went. It takes more character to stand on your principles then to follow the sheeple.

As for Thomas coming to Chicago. I say no! he is to old and took a year off. he will not be able to bounce back after the layoff.

Didn't the 85 Bears go like 20 years later for some strange reason?

Not sure if you thought that would be insulting because I support Thomas. If so, very sad.

Actually read your post wrong, thought you said jump on him and went for the cheap Seinfeld reference. I'm a Libertarian, I'm very c'est la vie.

One thing I forgot to post earlier today, during the TSN talking heads discussion on various big contracts today they mentioned Bolland being traded and Craig Button said "the Hawks have Brandon Pirri who led the AHL in scoring and he and Shaw, who have shown he can do Bolland's job, can replace him for more cap friendly numbers."

Interesting to hear Pirri's name starting to be mentioned on a higher level.

There was an article on Stan in today's Tribune that had some very nice things to say about Pirri. It's strange to me that he totally seemed persona non grata last year and now is getting name dropped repeatedly by the powers that be the last week or so.

You can't make the statement he is a team first guy when he allows his personal beliefs to overshadow what was meant to be a team celebration.....you just can't......

Raanta put up great stats. Would like to see him play in some pre season tilts. A lot of teams were after him to sign. 1.5 is a tad high for the #2, but after seeing the $$$ flying today... phuck it. Hes a bargain.
- z1990z

A bargain who needs to learn the North American game.

He should do that in Rockford.

Rock on.

Objectivist, and very laissez faire myself.

Still wondering what is up with G. Campbell. Was that injury serious?

I think the story was the day they were supposed to go to the White House was the same day as the Space Shuttle explosion so obviously that had to be cancelled.....

Staying out of the politics realm, frankly no matter what you think of the President, at least have enough respect for the organization and your teammates to go there and take a picture and shake the man's hand, even if you have to grit your teeth...but just my opinion.

Good day for the Hawks, can't think of anything I would do differently, after re-signing Krugs and getting a backup, lets go and try and repeat!

They don't want the casual fan going "who the F is that" when they see some new kid between Sharp and Hossa
