To those still thinking Scuderi is worth blocking Donovan (keep in mind the others are under contract with the exception of hickey who will be signed) I disagree strongly. Our young players need to play. There's no point leaving Donovan in the AHL another 2 years and the rest are under contract so they won't be sent down. Cizikas and Hamonic are examples of young players who are important to this franchise and need to play now, by signing someone like scuderi you're blocking our prospects from making the team and those are the guys who will push this team forward. Not an older defense first defenseman who doesn't play physical. I see scuderi as mark eaton, just younger and a bit faster. Pass.

I know. It was pretty much expected though. We need to find out about Poulin once and for all. Hopefully he can take over the job. I do not want Nabby in the playoffs again.

I think some people (GM's, fans) get caught up in the shopping blitz, without looking at the quality and the fact they're grossly overpaying. If we ditch aucoin, finley, reasoner and boyes, and replace them with Donovan, Nelson, Strome and a mid range ufa it's a fairly large upgrade IMO.

We don't need to get into a bidding war with stupid GM's for talent that is so overpriced it'll hurt us down the road when the young guys come up for new contracts. We have the best cap situation in the league. Let's keep that advantage so when the team is solid we're not dropping quality players to stay under the cap (or the owner's imposed salary ceiling)
