Problem is the goalie carousel thing almost always ends in a train wreck
- JoeRussomanno

I think the team is hoping Mason is the guy. This franchise needs to commit more to drafting goalies. Sometimes multiple goalies every year.

Two years ago he wouldn't last 10mins on the market. Talk about a stock that has dropped.

Yep, we'll see what happens. And to be honest, now that Bryzgalov is no longer a Flyers. I could give a rats ass what happens to him.

When that report about him sleeping came out... I said its either utter (frank)ing bullpoop or something's going on so if he gets bought out ill be inclined to believe it, if not well... I really think if the off ice crap didn't happen he'd still be here.
- JoeRussomanno

just glad we don't have to go thru the hater/backer crap anymore.

i do think homer will make a bold move for a younger, ascending dman before calling it an offseason...

I wish him well. He will be paid well for the next 14 years.

I suppose but I think if he kept his nose clean he'd have won over more fans thus made it a bit harder to make that decision. Either way the flyers fortunately have been awarded a reset button... And went right back to two backups again.
- JoeRussomanno

I dont think the team liked him. I don't think homer would have been upset about the sports reporters not liking him or the fans not liking him. I think it was the fact that his own teammates and coaches didn't like him.

There really is no excuse to tire out either goalie. Both are capable of winning games for this team. These guys aren't (Leight)on
- PhillySportsGuy

nope. just alternate and let the best guy emerge

Yea this board was too split over him... I'm glad I don't have to debate for or against anymore, it's like huge weight has been lifted except now were back at square one albeit a rather inexpensive square one

lots of flexibility. for all we know, thomas might have to go to europe to play and if one of our guys gets hurt, we'll have a copy of the Constitution posted at one of the plyr stalls

I meant if his career dies, it dies. Lord knows he's getting enough money from the Flyers to keep him in vodka and caviar for eternity.

Don't worry about that. When the Flyers go through a bad stretch to the Season. It'll be they should've kept Briere, Bryzgalov, and traded for Ryan.

Rich Smith ‏@ALLsportsINTEL 54s

NHL - Source reports Flyers Couturier is not the offensive threat the Blues are looking for from a Center, Schenn fits better but not likely

Bill said the same thing. Bill are you Rich Smith?

Nope me either. Simply didn't play well enough. Flyers recognized this, and made the correct decision.

When the season starts, what do you think is the first thing people will complain about? Line combos/D pairings? Goaltending? Which goaltender being used? Lavi's system?
