Caps lose a vital piece in Ribiero. Wonder how they'll replace him.

Unfortunately, he's wearing # 92 this time, so you'll have to flip the numbers.

I read he's wearing #29.

If my math is right, #Flyers can spend $5,376,478 because of the extra-10-percent rule in the offseason, but will have to shed eventually.

Boyd Gordon to Oilers.

Awesome pick-up.

- flyer_nutter

He will make that team a lot better without scoring many goals.

Ribeiro's four year deal in PHX has an AAV of $5.5M. Partial NMC/NTC.

Thats a lot of money for a guy who never shoots the puck

I think emery is solid on shoot outs as I remember. Not sure about mason yet through
- Hextall271

I think Bill was saying that Emery kind of had to adjust his game and he is more of a "let the puck hit you", positional goaltender.

Im glad to see him back in Philly though, before his hip issues, he was a pleasure to watch.

Always wanted the organization to bring back Esche for one last go, dont think thats happening.

ppg guy last season.

EDIT: looking at his stats I can safely say I never fully realized how much of a point producer he is..

.77 ppg pace over his career.

Comparisons

Briere- .77
Louis Eriksson- .71
Tomas Plekanec-.66
Nate Horton-.68

Seems like Edmonton, Calgary and Colorado are finally all moving in the right direction.

Yes, Emery cannot rely on his reflexes as much as his technical side of things anymore because the hip compromised some of his reflex speed.

I never liked him. He always seemed like the type of player who put up points on a bad team.
