Well first of this is my first year following him so I don't you to get the idea I have been following him for years.....he called Vinny to us before anyone, this morning he called Alfie to wings hours before it hit the circuit, if Scuderi goes back to Pitt he would be the first to call that.....he actually seems to have his stuff together. If the flyers totally pull a rabbit out of their hat and get E Kane or Ryan then I will follow him forever.....we will see, my true first impression of him will be established after today, but he is off to a good start

If Dreger's salary is true then I like it a lot more. Having said that, I still really would've preferred a true number one option. I'm just very pessimistic about Mason.

Halak isn't a certainty to remain healthy. And then the question is what would he have cost in terms of assets?

I think a one year deal for Emery is about the best case scenario.

If Mason/Emery don't work out this year sure it will be frustrating, but at least they aren't committed to either guy.

Tots agree.. I actually had hoped for a 1.8 mill salary about a month ago and was told it was unrealistic.. I agreed.

both guys on one year deals, so very little risk

they can go after a #1 next year if neither works out

sure Bernier or Schneider would have been nice but would have cost assets
