Mason won't get 60 games. I'm going to go out on a limb right now and predict he'll be nailed to the bench by Thanksgiving.
- Scoob

That wouldn't be good. I don't have a lot of faith in Emery staying healthy if he plays a lot.

I think the Blues will match whatever for Pietrangelo.
- idiotsallofu

Yea likely, but they have 13 mil in space but have to sign Pietro, Stewart, and that goalie. Plus want to add a center and top F. Plus Im not sure they are a team that spends to the limit. But yea theyll match......

Still too much if the plan is for him to play 20-25 games.
- PLindbergh31

i really think we'll see a 1a/1b no matter whom they sign. 30/50 to 35/45 is what i think we'll see. just a guess.

I refuse to buy it until/if it happens. Remember the other day when Briere was signing in NJ? Didn't happen.

That's what these teams get for dilly dallying around.

offer sheets are fun for the fans but rarely seem to work

Just wish Emery wasn't an injury concern. You know with the way this teams rolls he's going to get hurt.

someone needs to sit Lavi down and tell him playing a guy 10 games in a row including multiple back to backs, just because he likes to go with the hot goalie, might be a bad idea this year!

They can also handcuff the team tossing it out there. Gotta be smart about it.

seriously

Hgb was cautious all year and refused to trade couts because he wasn't getting fair value back

why does that have to change today?

Agreed. But then I'm still scratching my head on how they think they can get Mason to not only be serviceable, but be their #1 guy.

Who the hell is this rich guy and all intel sports? And why is he all of a sudden a reliable source? I feel like he came out of nowhere

It's Ek's new "nom de plume" so someone takes him seriously.

He had to do that. They were literally without a backup goalie last year. With even a mediocre backup, Bryz gets a rest or two in there. He was far from a "hot" goalie.

They shouldnt even bother with an offer sheet for Pietrangelo. The Blues would never let him go.

What do you mean? I think they think if he gets his game back on track, his talent level is that of a #1

In the last few years he's shown an inability to succeed at that. What, they think he has a switch they can just flip?
