Me too. Being Meszaros is on the last year of his deal at a 4m cap hit, you would figure someone would be willing to offer a 5th round pick for him. That would be fine with me.

And you know if Meszaros is dumped, he plays all 82 next year. Take it to the bank.

Homer isn't well-versed in handing out one year deals, unfortunately. I was hoping for Emery when Bryz's buyout was announced, but anything over two years is too much.

My gut has me convinced he is gone. But that could just also be the extreme amount of ribs my fat ass consumed yesterday.
- jak521

I hope its the ribs.

I want ribs. Is it socially acceptable to have ribs for breakfast?

Im not sure why Coots will draw a lot of interest today? Today isn't the trade deadline is it?
- Winning

because teams may want to try to use FA as a fail safe.

Ill give an example. Say a team needs a top 3 center, and knows they have a chance for Couts.

Do they wait till after FA, and a lot of other options are signed, or see if they can strike a deal, and have the other options in case things dont work out?

Homer said it was going to be crazy. Vinny really isn't crazy in my book. Thats a typical Flyer signing. Seemed like Coburn was packaged to EDM and a deal consummated but maybe, just maybe, Homer was waiting out Phoenix....

I was thinking nothing was going to happen with the Coyotes until they resolved the Glendale issue.

Maybe since that is resolved, they could trade OEL for Couturier, Read, Coburn, and a prospect like Cousins or Axeson. I really like OEL and I'm sure Homer would have to really overwhelm Phx with an offer but that isn't a bad place to start.

Then they could move Mez and resign Gagne, and give Laughton as shot at 3C, maybe acquire another F for depth

Hartnell-Giroux-Voracek
Schenn-LeCavalier-Simmonds
Gagne-Laughton-McGinn
Talbot-Hall-Rinaldo/Rosehill

OEL-Timonen
Streit-Schenn
Gus-Grossman

Mason/Emery

Fill-In/Scratches: Axeson (if not moved), Lauridsen, Bourdon, Gervais

Flyers still give the players the best deals
and if things go bad, they are not afraid to correct their mistake(s)

I'm sure Nick could find an apt Taylor Swift lyric, too.
