I Don't know who was Available, unless you were getting equal value he shouldn't have been moved. and this is not equal value, I know what type of player Ericsson is I just haven't followed the Dallas Stars. - BruinBlood
very good trade. eriksson is a great player. very underrated. morrow will a top 4 defenseman soon and fraser and smith both have a chance to play on the 3rd line. fraser likes to drop the gloves too. all this and we have over 4 million in cap savings. not giving chiarelli enough credit here. |

OK but it also shows you know ZERO about the player. My question to you who would have traded for? I already know you have kept him so think on it. I'm just interested thats all.
- One_Eyed_Sweede
I wouldn't have traded him at all. Sure looch has more snarl to his game, but is also prone to disappear for months, and in the playoffs. And are you happy looch is getting 6mil next year? That's a lot of coin for a guy who can barely hit 30 goals. Long term at 21, I think seguin has waaaaaaaay more upside. It all goes back to the chia over paying his own players. |

If Looch was to truly be a 30+ goal scorer season in season out he would have been drafted much higher. Yes after what I saw Looch do in the playoffs this year I am happy, and I hope we see more of it. I happen to be of the opinion we will. Also what you're forgetting is Eriksson not only produces but he also a great 2 way player Selke nominee. That means way more production from that side over Horton in all zones of the ice. Krejci and Lucic will only reap the benefits. |

just adding fuel to the fire. - clark_griswold
More proof that trading because of partying is bunk. Here are facts
-PC wanted Hall
-PC tried to trade for up Hall
-PC was left with no choice but to draft Seguin(don't give me Skinner or Landeskog either)
-Krejci, Bergeron,Perverly, Kelly Soderberg and Campbell all stood in the way of him playing his natural position.
-Seguin is better suited in a run and gun offense rather than a defensive oriented system
-Because of all the above PC trades Seguin gets the scoring winger he wanted and another potential scoring winger, plus a top prospect D man. |

Like she has any idea wtf he's doing in Boston. Plus, she's talking about the finals when everything being reported was happening before that. |

The Leafs just got even Tougher to play against. and weve lost 2 out of our Top 6 forwards, replaced just 1.
Chia needs to Add aTop 6 guy here |

I agree 100%. I actually visited Boston last year and got free tix (my buddy knows Seguin and he left them for us) so I guess I shouldn't bad mouth the guy...having said that, there must have been some off ice issues that caused this deal and his mom is making him look even worse. Maybe it will be a wake up call but he just gave up the chance to compete for a few more cups at least and left an awesome city and hockey town to join a complete rebuild. |

I think the division is Boston, TO, Det and whoever sneaks into 4th. I love the new playoff format too, will be great for rivalries. |

I know he is 21 but Dallas gets old fast. The Kennedy assassination site and titty bars. All that's in Dallas. It's also easy to run out of money... |

Looks like Khudobin's off to CAR. Niklas Svedberg's his likely replacement. Svedberg had 37 wins in 48GP last year for P-Bruins w/ .925 SV%. |

I'm pretty meh on this whole Ryder possibly coming back to Boston. I think it's a lateral move, doesn't make them worse but doesn't really make them better. |
