No I haven't I remember NHL GM's drooling all over the Kid in his rookie season and then Nothing, haven't even heard his name. so I do admit I don't really know what to expect. However in the 2012 NHL Season Seguin was a guy that brought you off your seat everytime he touched the Puck and there is no denying that. - BruinBlood
MANNNN... he's avg 29.5 goals a year for the last 4 years and has had a 40 goal year in Dallas.... Time to research before you make assumptions, sir.
Plus cap savings
Plus 3 good specs

I like this trade and will like it even better when chia lands a top 6 rw now that he has cleared cap space for one. I could see louii playing with krejci and looch.

Just look at what Krejci and Bergy bring to this team!!!!
You have some mad Seuin love going on, yes he is VERY talented, but they dont always mesh in a certain system. bergy and Krejci play the system and do it well and preform lights out in the playoffs as well! - MrBeanTown
YES I still do think this kid has all Tools required to be Elite, I think your missing my point, No of course I don't move Bergy or Krejci, I wanted Seguin to play with Bergy & Marshmont,
We have lost Nathan Horton and Tyler Seguin I think this team has taken a step back
Horton is in Columbus waiting to announce his new deal, Another strange circumstance, he had NO INTEREST in staying here, baffling |

Yes Tyler Seguin is an exciting player but he is not a winger, and there is no room for more natural centers here. Edmonton stuck it Boston by taking Hall. I suggest you look up Eriksson's stats and keep in mind he has been producing on a Dallas team team that is pure dogsh!t

Lucic/Krejci/Eriksson is going to be a nasty line. Within a week of the season you will see. Trading Seguin may someday comeback and bite them in the ass but for the now Boston's window is still very wide open and PC made the right call here. |

Cap savings will be obsolete when Tuukka gets his 8M / year whcih is again a Crazy decision that's way too much I think 6M should be his ceiling.
As far as research I just think we will not agree that this is a good deal for the bruins. |

Who's wearing the black and gold glasses now? I guess not having the facts doesn't thwart a good argument huh? |

What I mean is you can throw Stats out the window because virtually nobody comes into Boston and has their point totals rise. And I think there's too much Butt shining going on for management. |

OK but it also shows you know ZERO about the player. My question to you who would have traded for? I already know you have kept him so think on it. I'm just interested thats all.

that was a reason for the cap savings, I agree 8M is too much, like to see 6.5-7 but Mike Smith Franked that market up with his ext in the Desert.
Thats being said having a franchise goalie who is 25, you need money to sign him |

I Don't know who was Available, unless you were getting equal value he shouldn't have been moved. and this is not equal value, I know what type of player Ericsson is I just haven't followed the Dallas Stars. |

I just read something interesting the Jets thread. Evander Kane and parts was proposed. I would have loved it.
I also would have taken Eberle plus from EDM.
Thats the tough part, Eriksson is very underrated because he was in Dallas. Put him anywhere in the NE and he is a star(no pun intended) |

I too have heard that Rask is looking for a deal similar to Rinnes, but damn that's a ton of coin in a salary cap world. I'm not saying he's not worth it, and I'm sure PC will try and talk him down some, but in the end they gonna have to pay him large. I hope Tuukka understands that while he's a huge part of this team he is just that a "part" and PC will need room to sign at least one other piece. |

Maybe everyone is over Seguin leaving, but more coming out from the Boston Herald:
"It apparently got so bad that during the playoffs, the Bruins ordered Seguin to live in a hotel, where a guard was hired to make sure he stayed in his room." |

as far as sending Seguin packing well, I don't completely agree with it, and I'll be pissed off when they send Hamilton packing off to some other hockey wasteland cause that's exactly what they seem to do if the player doesn't reach max potential in two years.
I'm happy enough with the return. Eriksson should be a great fit with the Bruins and the prospects look to potentially fill some holes as well if not immediately then down the road.
I can't say I'm as happy with the Bruins roster getting older moving forward as someone else pointed out. There are some good, young, fast teams coming up and it won't be easy to compete with an older slower squad. The Bruins already have trouble with fast teams as it is. I'm not saying the B's have turned into a bunch of grandpa's overnight here but subtly older and Chara was starting to show his age a little this year I think. |

But they added Eriksson who's only 27 AND 3 YOUNG prospects. So they sent out a 22 year old and brought 3 young guys around that age and a guy who is in his prime years |

This is where I'm at too. Can't say I love dealing Seguin, seems a bit knee-jerk-ish for me. He may have had some growing pains, but damn...he's 21 and rich. Who wouldn't?
I like what Eriksson brings, and the cap space, but I'm nervous about Seguin becoming a superstar elsewhere. Time will tell.
What Chiarelli lacks in patience he makes up for in balls. |

This is purely why like this deal. Seguin will be a very good player especially on a team where he doesn't have to have as much defensive responsibility. It is bittersweet but I could give a crap about the partying. I sure as hell done my share and probably a few others. I am looking at this purely on the ice. In the now, the window is still open and Eriksson will give you more. |
