I don't if Clifford will ever provide the offence, but if not he can fall back as an effective checker. I wonder if he gets too much attention for being on a very good depth team with playoff success. It happens.

We need a bunch of guys who can play both ways and be competitive. I don't mind chasing a guy like Clifford because we'd have use for him even if he wasn't scoring at a top 6 clip.

My ideal is Kulemin, who is an okay choice in the top 6 and an excellent 3rd liner.

I like Kulemin for a guy who can move up and down the line up.upgrade over Jones for sure. I like Clifford too, I just fear he might get exposed outside of LA.

Fighting is not really what I'm after, standing up for guys is great, but being able to get the job done through physicality is what the oilers need most.

We should concentrate on what happens during the whistles and if we're tough between them then that's a bonus.
