If Horton goes to Columbus, he goes back to being the lazy player he was in Florida. Non traditional market with no pressure or expectations.

Aaron Portzline (Columbus Dispatch), most reliable CBJ insider, just responded to my tweet saying he's being told they will only go after one FA. Rats!

Doubt that with JD and Jarmo in charge. This team's work ethic is second to none and it seems to be contagious.

If he goes anywhere without Lucic riding the other wing he will go back to being heartless. I'm so glad he's not on the Habs' radar and vice versa

I love Giroux.....but over 8mil per?!?! Dumb!!! He's worth 6.75 cap hit max. Plus, he screws the team cap-wise. If your that big a team player and want to win the cup, you better carry the team on your back, or take a little less to provide the complimentary pieces to get it!!

Agree. Giroux is a great player, but that's a lot of money. Its not as bad as other contracts out there, as I believe he'll "grow" into the money. But upfront it looks rough.

I am not sure what Hoomgren is doing with the Flyers but if aint good. To many bloated deals and not enough quality players where the Flyers especially need them

people need to remember that cap hits for star players rising to this level is INEVITABLE since cheat contracts are now completely banned.

For a good demonstration of this, take a look at Parise's deal from last year ($7.5M cap hit but it was one of the last cheat contracts allowed).

You can make fun of the Flyers all you want for various other things but I'm not sure this is one where they deserve it.

Well the other teams apparently don't have to worry about the Sabres
Nice draft for the future but we never do anything for teh present. We have capspace and while eerybody else makes the moves, I hardly hear anything happening.....sme ole team
