As much as I'm OK with not resigning Clowe, I am on the fence with him signing in NJ, 1. I would hate to see him have any success in NJ being a former Ranger wether it was for 10 games or not 2.He's slow as crap and would love to see NJ waste money on him. - cranford93
i think wherever he goes, he will recover and become as big of a threat as he was in san jose. really would hate to see the devils sign him |

anyone know when the waiver claims are announced? |

If they are going after Moore I don't think we'll be seeing Hendricks but that's who I'd rather have, so if we do sign Moore does that mean Boyle to wing or is he a trade option? - cranford93
It's going to be one or the other, not two signings, they can't afford two signings.
Asham and Powe being waived only means something if they both get claimed, which they won't. The likely end result will be them toiling in the minors and the Rangers assuming a small percentage of their overall salary, on their cap. But that won't come into effect until the season begins, thus giving them no cap relief going into today.
Good thing is they can go above their salary cap limit until a week before the season starts so they are going to definitely pursue one legitimate bottom six forward today. I really would like to see Nystrom here; not too old, has more offensive upside than Moore or Hendricks, has good speed, good toughness and a overall well balanced game. |

I think we can all agree on not being happy if Clowe jumps to Jersey. At the same time however, I won't lose sleep over it. Devils look like an at best playoff bubble team this season. |

Little doubt David Clarkson will get a 7 year term. Some gm's think he will get $6 mil or higher per. #TSN

if there is a team out there willing to give David Clarkson a 42 million dollar contract, then the union won the lockout. |

I don't think it's impossible, the thought of the Sedins in NY next year. Lots of factors point in that direction.
For one, they have been playing in Vancouver for 14 years, the team with hardest travel and probably would love to come to the team with the easiest travel.
There is Vigneault.
There is Lundqvist, who will try to win gold with them once again for Sweden in 6 months and I am sure he is pretty close with them.
The cap is going up next year and the big spending teams are shooting their loads this season.
They will probably want to get away from Torts.
It's definitely possible. - jimbro83
OHHH so NOW you want Hank to go huh? |

You couldn't find someone who hates shutting the NHL season for two weeks so they can play in the Olympics more than me. I despise it. |

Yea I'm on the total opposite end of the spectrum. I love it. Last Olympics was some of the most excited I was for hockey ever. It was awesome. |

I watch hockey for the Rangers and only the Rangers
During one of the Rangers best seasons in recent memory, I saw their best player, Jagr, get hurt while playing in them.
I know how seriously these European players take the Olympics, really the last thing I want Lundqvist to be doing after he signs an 8 year extension |

As Rangers fans, we are all taking a collective sigh of relief that Sather can't go out and make the mistakes that several GMs are going to make today. |

The numbers floating around for Clarkson and Bozak are some of the more ridiculous things I have ever heard, anywhere at anytime. |

I love the idea of Dominic Moore has a 4th line center. That would allow the Rangers to make Boyle available in a trade/ move him to wing. I like options |

100% dead on definition of today
Anyone else surprised Alfie is gonna leave Ottawa? To me Ottawa is closer to winning it all than the Wings are. |
