hah yea right. bogosian = MDZ and wheeler >>>>>>>> miller & st. croix.

maybe if we throw in kreider.

again man, this isn't nhl 13 where you can match up trade values and it'll work. wpg will only trade a young core player for an overpayment that we won't like. it's like that with any trade we think up. otherwise there would be at least 1 trade every day.

Can't throw in Kreider and Miller unless it is for a bonafide top flight player. Wheeler is very good but can't deal your top two prospects in the system for a guy that might produce 65 points at best.

Losing prust has ruined every holiday for me since it happened

Hey, he will be able to return in three years...or less, if Montreal decides to buy him out sooner, hahaha.

Wheeler is good, hes not Evander Kane... they wont get extreme overpayment for Wheeler, unlike Kane.

agreed but then the peg will hang up the phone and tell you to go f yourself.

we sit here making a ton of trade proposals that "make sense" but if it were that easy those trades would be happening all day every day. remember when the new oilers gm at the press conference was like, "I HATE PATIENCE! I'M GONNA MAKE A TON OF BOLD MOVES TO MAKE THIS TEAM A CONTENDER!" has he done anything? maybe he realized how hard it is to make any move let alone a bold one.

I'm only trading Kreider or Miller if it was for Kane. Wheeler is good but I'd rather keep those 2.

It could be worse, the Rangers could have had a lot of money to waste on this garbage free agency class and sign someone like Briere.

Man, Montreal is hysterical with that one.

Not buying Richards out essentially saved Sather from himself.

Just wait until next year... when the books clear and Sather has about $40+ million to play with and a very VERY nice free agent class.

I know it wont be a popular decision because of his size... however...

If CGY were to eat $2 million of Cammalleri's contract, I wouldnt be opposed to trading for him only as a rental for one year.

Which means not giving up much for him, maybe a mid to low-tier prospect and like a 3rd or 4th round pick.

We'll cross that bridge when we get to it. That's me conveying that he potentially spends his money wisely.

I know people aren't too high on Briere. But 2 years for 4 million a year is a great deal IMO. He's gonna score and he's money in the playoffs. For 2 yrs would have liked him here with the Rangers.

I have a question why in the world would you put Asham and Powe on waivers and keep Pyatt? WTH is Sather smoking so far this offseason, it certainly is not tobacco.

If Briere got 4 million... I wouldnt mind Michael Ryder in the 3-3.5m range.

Dont think it was Sather's call, I think AV wants to keep Pyatt.

I guess cause based on last year at least Powe was a good penalty killer and Asham served a role as kind of an enforcer and hit. Other than his hot beginning and good run in the playoffs Pyatt was terrible and I think he makes more than Asham and Powe.

He does make more... Powe at 1.066, Asham at 1.0... Pyatt at 1.55

Maybe they move Boyle for a prospect or pick and just start going with Lindberg/Fast/Dorsett as a quicker 4th line. Hopefully.

Id rather have a quicker third line with for example...
Hagelin, Brassard, Miller

... and a more physical 4th line with...
Nystrom, Hendricks, Dorsett

What'd Pyatt score our first two goals of the season or something? I remember thinking that was a good signing at first and he fizzled out real fast!
