If you're confused about real vs fake McKenzie accounts, check if they have 575,000+ followers. Did I just say that? Oops.

@TSNBobMcKenzie. Already talk of offer sheets among teams with space. Pietrangelo, Bogosian, Little, Bailey, Henrique, Hamonic...

this one is real, I promise. I checked.

Per Stephen Harris, Tyler Seguin's partying got so bad that during the Playoffs, Bruins ordered him to live in a hotel & placed a guard outside his room.

Actually fellas we may need Torts today. Screw going on offense and attracting free agents at noon, we may just need to collapse and block some shots and get these RFA offer sheets away from our players.

Further to @TSNBobMcKenzie's point on RFAs, offer sheet compensation for a deal worth less than $3.36-million AAV is only second-round pick

I'm not saying a complete overhaul, there are some great pieces in place, I agree with you. I do feel you need at least one guy that's going to grind and is big, stay in front of the net. Like a Franzen, Lucic etc. Playoffs are a totally different game IMO, lots of board play, grinding. Those are the guys that excel a lot of the time, Rangers don't have anyone like that.

Something that always bothers me, I watch these games with some other teams and if you go near their goalie and you're getting punched, head locked etc... Go by Hank, a Ranger holds you or pushes you. Maybe its just the mentality I'm looking for a change in but something little like that drives me nuts.

I don't get why everyone is only focused on the Boston model. Speed kills in this league now.

What team is the only team to win 2 cups in the post-lockout era? Chicago. Who won with Toews, Kane, Hossa, Sharp at the forefront. They have one big guy in Bickell who wasn't a major player till the playoffs.

What are the only other 2 teams to make it to the finals twice? Pens and Wings. Both built on a concept of speed and skill and puck possession similar to the Hawks.

THAT is what wins in this league. I want the speed and skill all over the ice. THATS how the Hawks won, they just got up the ice sooo fast with crisp passing. And I think people need to go back and watch the Boston series. Yes, they were bigger and beat us down but if you watch what really killed us was their breakout. We got the puck in and for them it was just tic tac toe little passes with speed and they were breaking out down the ice out of their zone. That is what we need. Speed and skill.

Good point. Also, all four of those players not only have great speed, they have great hands as well.

Couturier and the Flames

"As per Rich Smith, the Flyers and Flames are reportedly discussing a trade that would send Sean Couturier to the Calgary Flames. "

Well thats how you avoid having to deal with signing Couturier.

haha, I really don't

You couldn't find someone who hates shutting the NHL season for two weeks so they can play in the Olympics more than me. I despise it.

- jimbro83

I hate it also and annoys me when players go into slump and fatigued from playing in Olympics or sone other international tournament is pointed out as a factor. Let there country pay these guys millions of dollars. If I was Carolina I would be livid that Eric Staal was hurt playing for Canada. Players want to be patriotic let them take two years off and join the army.
