Well we're in for a very rough year... cuz that's even fewer goals than we had this year. And I had the Devils (on my spreadsheets) worst in the league in offense last year. I mean, how can you take even more water away from this desert? Simple, sign guys that score less than ten times in 50 games and put them on your second line.

I foresee Elias staring skyward three times a game from these guys missing opportunities. I like Briere, but for the love of all that is awesome, get some guys who can put some pucks in the net!

Can someone out there please remind the Devils that their d-men were bottom 5 in the league in offense? That's not cuz of their forwards either.

I don't think he is the solution but man lots of players had bad years last year not just clowe it was a lock out year its going to happen. That doesn't mean he is a 10-15 goal scorer all of a sudden he will pot 20-25 next year. I am praying he makes a big move though looks like Seguin is off the list and all but gone but make the Deal for Ryan or get some balls and get Kane since he is now in the west

I would actually like to see Clowe signed. I don't think we necessarily need to add goal scorers. We have goal scorers on the team: Kovy, Loktionov, Zajac, Henrique, etlc. We just need guys that can get them going. Everybody underachieved last year.

I think Larsson is going to get power play time next season, and is definitely capable of producing. Kid has great vision and passing ability to go along with an accurate shot. People may be down on him just because he doesn't have the stats produced yet, but I see a star #1 D man in him very soon.

Clowe was another playing asking for a max length deal and I really hope we don't give it to him. He's a bit inconsistent offensively and has already had a few injuries. His style of play will only lead to more and I highly doubt he'll be able to stay healthy for 8 years.

$5.5 on a 35+ deal is a lot, but Elias is a necessity for our offense. Lots of new UFAs after the buyouts. Grabovski and Gerbe are interesting ones...

But I am still about to start writing letters to Lou and Filppula telling them both to work out a deal. Like him the most out of anyone we could have a chance at signing.

7 years is max for UFAs and I would sign him for 5-6 for a cap hit between $3.5-4 million. He could play anywhere in our top 9 and be a productive player. Definitely in favour of bringing him in.

We drafted center and I think if we where to get a player like that it would be worth throwing Henrique in they might not of been looking for a second line center but maybe Winnipeg or Anaheim would like him in a package for Ryan or Kane since everyone seems to be pretty much ok with Zajac and Loktionov as the top 2 centers I personally would rather give up Zajac but that isn't going to happen and in reality neither is a trade for either of those two guys because that wouldn't be status quo

There goes Briere. He picks the Habs, but the Habs needed bigger players and they got smaller. If I was a Habs fan, I'd be livid. They're also log jammed at center with Desharnais, Gionta, and Plekanec.

your joking right? adam Larsson has great vision and passing ability? in 37 games he had 6 assists, who was he passing it to the other team. he does have an accurate shot, he hits the forwards in front of him every time. Merrill is the power play defenseman. adam Larsson and power play should never be put in the same sentence.
