Holy frig! I doubt the GM has considered the salary cap and how it might effect things!
Oilers and Leafs are budget teams it looks like anyways. - robin_steele264
well if you're going to have that kind of attitude |

Nonis must be desperate
- robin_steele264
No, they made the playoffs. This was the first time in almost a decade where desperation and major line up changes were not, or should not have been anyways, in the picture. |

It wasn't even one year...it was half a season. Brutal. - systemtool
I felt he might be a buyout candidate, but next season, if he had a bad year, no hard feelings, if he proved he could be a 20-30 goal 50 point centre again, sweet...maybe keep him on. They better have some UFA/trade thing ready, because Kadri/Bolland or Kadri/Bozak isn't very awe inspiring. |

Well, here's a big deal thanks for your 3 straight 20 goal + seasons, you are a part of the core.
Sorry, but you're our 3rd line centre now and you're overpaid, why aren't you scoring you sack of poop? Bye.
Happening over one year is kind of a Richard move and why nobody wants to play in Toronto...
Best change the team name to the Flyers - AdamFrench
Don't disagree with any of that but the Leafs gave him a chance after the whole Hab thing. He's getting bought out, not shipped to Siberia. I should be so lucky to be paid millions of dollars to not work. I like Grabo and I didn't want to see him bought out but now he gets his money from the Leafs and he can sign wherever he can get a deal which means he gets more money than he would have otherwise. If he had been traded he would have had no choice where he played and he would not have had the additional salary he will get from another team. |

Maybe... But still, Gretzky has a restaurant down the street. It only makes sense that they partner up. |

I was listening to the fan 590/TSN all day on tune in while planting trees somewhere near tumbler ridge BC. Quite an enjoyable day. Seguin gets moved, Arencibia rips Zaunn, The whole Grabo thing happens. I look forward to an even better day tomorrow. Tim and Sid are pretty good - Arctic_AARDVARK
I have to admit I was happy to see Seguin trade and not for a king's ransom as some thought he would bring. I'm also glad he's in the west. I hope he drifts off into obscurity. |

I agree mate, though this is the kind of thing you expect for a full new management team to do. Nonis had been with the team the whole time with Burke and was there when they signed the deal...Carlyle was the coach for half a season before the deal was done. Kind of weird to put that kind of investment, then one half season later dump it... |

He'll suck. Hall is clearly the better player, and so is Kessel. And probably loui eriksson |

Nah, they will just say screw the Leafs like usual, until they pay some pile of poop 4.75 mil to be traded/bought out in a year... |

I agree. I was shocked that they bought him out this year. I'm curious to know if they had any trade talk at all about him and if his illness is a concern. The thing I disliked about how Carlyle coached him was that game when he didn't put Grabo on for the shootout. That seemed like an intentional insult. |

shocked the B's dealt him already, really, "oh Burke got fleeced" yadda yadda
I never believed that when it happened, but I'm shocked they gave up on him that quickly, he was on the 3rd line to "appease" Jagr |
