The top three teams in each division will make up the first 12 teams in the playoffs. The remaining four spots will be filled by the next two highest-placed finishers in each conference, based on regular-season points and regardless of division. It will be possible, then, for one division to send five teams to the postseason while the other sends three.
Does this mean there is no east west in playoffs? - kylkri
Nah it just means the odds are better in the west.
Each conference:
Top 3 per division = 6
Next top two conference = 2
That's 8 per conference |

Who knows, what we do know is Grabbo left somewhere that made him a multimillioinaire for life with an expletive-laced bunch of blameshifting for his low production on public radio, hope his wife speaks Russian - Zezel
In a way, he does have a point. Under Wilson, Grabo was a 20 goal, 50-60point player who seemed to play well at both ends of the ice and improved his all round game. Enter a new coach and all of a sudden he became a bad hockey player? Also, it didn't seem like he was shifting blame but rather stating his version of the facts. Which were that the coach never communicated with him, at least not clearly enough, why Grabs ice time was cut and he was put through a demotion of sorts in the line up. He was trying to say that instead of sitting me and cutting my ice time/demoting me, tell me what it is you want me to do so I can keep my spot in the line up.
Plus the fact hes getting married tomorrow, and the guy has to be under a lot of stress and emotional times. |

Guys, I really don't like this move. Can you tell?
If Nonis pulls a vagina out of his ass and lands a top C, then Ill love this move and admit I was wrong to have my doubts...BUT.....It seems like we bought out a good 2nd line C who had a bad year and made too much money, and will likely over pay for Bozak (or Weiss or Roy) who will just end up being another good 2nd line C with a bad contract...
Right now it seems to me like Nonis trading a Brown pile of poop for a Greenish pile of poop because he liked the colour better. Its still poop, but we wasted a buyout we should have saved IMO. |

Its funny cause I was under the impression that carlyle has been much more honest and clear with his expectations. Either players dont want to get on the coaches bad side or, grabo is just simpily pissed with the hand he was delt. No question that he was put into a roll that didnt suit his contract. Whats best for an individual isnt necessarily whats best for the team. |

I noticed you didn't add Briere in there. He's going to be beast mode for the Habs.

Need for scoring up the middle: check

Why intentionally make your team worse without having a contingency plan?
Nonis has something going on. Gotta wait to see what it is. |

AW, can you provide something witty for my facebook status regarding the Grabo buyout? Something like your Kadri story, and being a Leaf fan is like being gay.... - mykokes
I'm too tired, and not drunk enough.
What did I say about Kadri? |

The one thing that it did confirm is that he cares. He could have handled it better, but I think he's the first one out of these buy outs to react with this level of anger. Say what you will but at least he is passionate for the sport, and we lost a player who really did care. |

I feel like with all the smoke from the lockout not enough attention was paid to this. Doesn't really make a lot of sense. I know they told Detroit that they were the next team to come over, and Columbus needs the ratings, but it just looks bad on the league. |
